1941 Indian Sport Scout - Matching Numbers!

I am the 3rd owner of a bike owned by a 93 year young woman originally from MA who was a was a machinist during the WWII era.

She began riding motorcycles during that time.

Obtaining this Sport Scout in the 1944 time-frame. she began rebuilding it in 1998. putting few miles on it afterward.

The cases are clean and both engine/frame numbers match!

I started and drove the Sport Scout 2 months ago. making a video clip of it running. The hard drive on my laptop crashed 11/23/2014.

Lost were photo's. media clips. etc.

 The Scout had been sitting since May and did not take long to start. It handled well at 45 mph for the 3 miles I put on the bike before letting it sit.

As can be seen in the current photographs. the prior owner chose to install turn signals that can be easily removed. A switch was added to the handlebars with internal wiring used. A flasher unit is mounted under the headlight valance/sheet metal that services the signals.
