1948 Indian Chief

 You're looking at an original 1948 Indian Chief.  

1948 was a unique year for the Chief as only about 3000 were ever produced and there was no Chief in 1949.   This was the last year for the girder sprung front end as well.  

This model came from the factory with right hand throttle and left hand shift. and of course. has a foot clutch.  

This bike has matching numbers of CDH6643 (engine) and 3486643 (frame).    This bike only has 42. 26 original miles and is in good running order.
