Ok here’s a 1989 G Reg Kawasaki ZZR1100. its complete. but needs re-commissioning.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is a standard and complete early ZZR1100. although a few bits are damaged/broken. a few bits rusty/corroded & a few bits are very nice indeed. Obvious things it'll need are. a screen. battery. chain and rear tyre. But it has only covered 24000 miles so is just about run in. and has only had 2 previous owners since its import from USA in 1993.
The wheels are straight with nice clean front discs and working rear brake. although the brakes need freeing off as its been standing. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Fairing is complete. tidy with no breaks. Instruments look good and original. Fuel tank & panels are all good too. with just a few marks from years in storage. Carburetors is free sliding off the twist grip. The engine is cosmetically very clean -
When I hooked it up to a good battery all the electrics work as they should. and there's a cracking spark at the plugs. so shouldn't take much to get it running again as there is nice compression when turned over and is trying to start. but fuel is old. and the carbs probably want cleaning.
It comes with its key which fits all the locks although seat lock is very stiff. and I have the full V5 logbook.
The bike came off the road approx 6 years ago when the rear tyre needed replacing and the exhaust was blowing. it was then parked at the back of a garage and forgotten about. Hence it needs a damn good clean and going over. but everything was is working order at the time.
So basically. what you see is what you get. its a non running project with dirt and rust as its been standing in a garage for about 6 years. But what a fantastic opportunity to get a cheap rocket. as these were the fastest bikes on the planet when they came out in 1989.
