This very rare and much sought after 1974 Kawasaki H1E 500 Mach III has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the R/h mirror & front indicators. The bike has obviously stood a while so the front brake master cylinder isn't working & tyres are perished. Sadly most all the bright chrome work is pitted. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as solid as it looks here. The wheels are straight. Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguard is solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Fuel tank. tail piece & side panels are solid but rusted but tank is usably clean inside and all are just crying out for a fresh coat of candy Green paint. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout but has a few punctures in the cover. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically quite clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression – When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs but the carbs do need cleaning. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Kawasaki UKs customer services on 01628 856643 with the frame & engine Numbers. /p>

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ?55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
