hello! here we have my lovely gpz500s. i bought this a year ago after passing my full bike license. hese are a great first big bike. i learnt on a Kawasaki er6n and in terms of the way it rides and even the performance the gpz is amazingly similar!this particular bikes has benefited from the last couple of owners really looking after it and spending plenty of money on it! it has lots and lots of paperwork and various bills for quite large amounts! in my ownership ive spent a fair bit on it and ill list some of the parts ive put on and the things ive done since purchasing it last February*new throttle cables *front and rear pirelli tires changed at the same time by kawasaki*new exhaust clamps (to cylinder head) genuine kawasaki ?66 worth*new battery. decent yuasa one*gearbox oil seal fitted by kawasaki*spark plugs changed*oil and filter twice (nice silkolene oil used)*second hand replacement coils*new ht leads and caps*proper carb overhaul on a newer lower milage set of carbs*bandit 600 chainguard (looks a lot better!)*custom cut down front screen (again looks better)*full professional respray on the headlight fairing ?130the bike also has a lovely full stainless viper two into one exhaust which sounds fantastic! the bike really does make a very satisfying rumble at low rpm. from 7000rpm above it really wails! and the bike builds speed very well!!ive constantly adjusted and oiled everything on it. he clutch lever feels great the throttle is super smooth and slick. ive shimmed lots of things and stopped things vibrating! the bike also has its numberplate stamped on all the lights. forks. ngine etc. i suppose its a deterrent for anyone who might want to steal and break the bike. i could go on and on but basically. its all ready to just ride and ride. its a very reliable bike. ive used it for work and fun all year. ve run plenty of redex through it to keep the carbs tip top and like i say kept everything adjusted and lubed. bad points. ill be totally honest. up close the frame of the bike is a little tatty. the swingarm looks the worst. there is a crack on the front mudguard. the fuel tank has had a repair and been painted. its been like it since i bought the bike and its totally fuel tight. he graphics on the back of the seat on the right hand side are pretty faded now. ive tried to get all this in the pics. ne other thing is that in old kawasaki fashion it takes a while to warm up and you have to juggle the choke and throttle a bit if its really freezing outside. aving said that 90% of the time it starts with no choke and i usually hold the throttle at 2000rpm for 3 mins then its quite happy. of course you could just start it and ride off instantly but personally i like to get some decent warmth in the engine!thats it really. its a really genuine bike. its a mk1 and as time goes on will become more of a classic. feel free to come and view the bike im in redruth cornwall i cant get to a computer often so please text any questions etc to me on 07855 623607mot till april and i know the tax is'nt transferable but it is taxed till april so i suppose with insurance you can ride it away. the first dvla will know is when they get the logbook. reason for sale. ive been saving my money and id really like to try out a bandit or a fazer. id like something between a 600 and 1000 ideally!ive priced the bike at what i think its realistically worth. not bearing in mind what ive spent on it. id like it to be a good deal for someone. so buy it now will be ?750 and the reserve ?500. again any questions just text!cheers luke :-)
