The Kawasaki Z650 and KZ650 of the late seventies and early eighties have become popular over the last few years as donor bikes for caf? racer projects. This KZ650 was the subject of a complete mechanical overhaul in 2003 at a cost in excess of ?2000. following which it was stored for several years. It was then acquired in 2011 by Colchester based caf? racer specialists Steve Emmins and Steve Howard who carried out an extensive five hundred hour project to convert the bike to the stunning caf? racer spec that you see before you.
