1995/M Kawasaki ZZR600
This is a 10 day spares or repairs auction with no reserve and no buy it now price. It is not advertised anywhere else and I will not stop the auction for any reason so you can bid with confidence that only the highest bidder will win the auction.
This is a spares or repairs auction due only to the age of the bike and the MOT advisories listed below.
I have:
V5 (log book)
Key
MOT until 12 February 2016
10 old MOT certificates
Some old invoices
Service book with full stamped history up to 21677 miles (seven stamps)
This bike is fitted with:
A taller tinted screen
Twin Micron exhausts
The guy who owned this bike had bought a car a few months ago and realised straight away how nice it is to stay dry and have a heater (Amen to that) so understandably he had stopped riding and let the MOT run out.
I took it to my tame techie and he fitted a new battery. new front wheel bearings. new air filter. balanced the carbs and gave it a check over before carrying out the MOT. His quote. which I think sums it up perfectly was. "it rides a lot better than it looks". Great unbiased comment! I've got to say at this point. please have a look at the pictures. it doesn't look that bad if you ask me.
There are of course some scratches and some minor cracks in the plastics which are easy enough to spot (see pics of the tank) and a thumb print dink on the side of the tank that isn't easy to spot. The ignition key needs a bit of a jiggle to turn it on. There's a dead heated grip control that's glued to the inner fairing panel (but it's not hurting anyone). The important thing and what I think you want to hear on a bike of this age is that it's got a good engine. it starts willingly. all the gears select and all the electrics work as they should.
The speedo may have been changed but I'm not sure if it's a mistake. The 2010 MOT shows the mileage as 37300. It wasn't MOT'd in 2011 (so must have been stored) and then in 2012 it's shown at 31309 (this could be an admin mistake mixing up a 7 and a 1) In 2013 the mileage reads as 38102. You'll have to make your own mind up but to be on the safe side I have added the difference to the displayed mileage to give a total of 49736 but it could be 43745.
There are a few advisories on the MOT:
"The off side steering control has reduced clearance at full lock not affecting the riders grasp of handle bar". Which translates to. The off side handle bar is "slightly" out of true.
The front brake discs are slightly worn. These are about ?25 each on ebay but to be fair they've still got plenty of life in them.
Slight fluctuation of brake effort on roller brake test. Which goes hand in hand with worn discs.
Rear valve stem has got slight damage.
The chain is worn but not excessive.
L/H switch gear has slight movement.
The front brake lever has poor reserve travel. It works fine but does feel like it could do with being bled.
(I highlighted the word slight because that is the word that was used in the advisory).
It's all fair comment but there's nothing that's beyond the grasp of the average handy owner to sort as you go along and without much cost. which makes it a good opportunity to win a bargain.
Good luck if you have a bid and please eBay-mail me any questions.

Transport
I have my own pick up so I may be able to help with local deliveries for a fee.
For deliveries that are a little further afield. I can recommend a very professional motorcycle courier called who's delivery costs are more than reasonable (phone number on request) or you can get a free quote from Shiply (it’s a web site a bit like eBay where courier companies bid for your delivery) using this link. http://www. shiply. com/rf/TQIGW8UGLA/ I’ve had some customers who have used the site and have been very pleased with the results.
I’m in South Devon
I am located in beautiful sunny South Hams in Devon close to Plymouth. Exeter and Totnes. so handy for trains or Exeter airport. The roads are twisty and scenic. so why not collect and make a weekend of it. Ride stunning coastal roads or head up on to the moors and end the day with a good meal and a few pints of Jail Ale at the Plume of Feathers in Princetown (there’s camping and a bunk house if you over do it!) Head for The Camel and discover the vineyard that beat the best Champaign to hold the title for the world’s best sparkling rose. Don’t go home without a mega brunch at Cap’n Jaspers on the Barbican in Plymouth. nbsp;loved by bikers. sailors. later-nighters and. er. pirates!? Spend an evening in great company. alfresco at The Winking Prawn in Salcombe or spend a lazy afternoon at The Oyster Shack in Aveton Gifford. Of course there are cream teas. pasties and some brilliant British surf. Great gastro pubs. beer and loads of B&B's. Most importantly you’ll find a welcome from all the bikers in Devon and Cornwall which has the highest density of motorcycles per capita in the UK!
I’m a Trader.
I am selling as a TRADER (this differs from a DEALER: I do not have a retail premises) with 20 years' experience in the trade. I managed a BMW dealership since 1999 (UK's favourite dealer 2006/7 RiDE Survey). Previous experience in a multi-franchise and a London Harley Davidson dealer.
