I took this bike all the way down to every nut. bolt. spring and cable. The frame. subframes and swing arm were powder coated for durability. That is the only "modification" this bike got. The rest of the bike is factory parts and all original construction. That means there are some old parts in there but they were all cleaned. reconditioned and where possible painted. Original coatings that could not be duplicated were left original instead of painted. Keep in mind that I am an amateur enthusiast and not a professional. I've done multiple first gen Camaros but this is my first bike. I do a good job but I would not call it museum quality. Although I have seen dozens of these bikes in original condition. partially restored and fly restored and I have not yet seen one with the detail I have done on this bike. I painted it myself and it is not perfect but its as good as it would have come from the factory (which was never perfect either). I used factory original decals and they are all in the exact correct locations. The engine case is all detailed and painted as well. I bought two run down bikes and pieced together one good one. So that means I have 2 sets of plastics and two tanks! The second set is not included in this auction because I don't want to have somebody paying for something it they don't want them. But if you want to make me an offer outside the auction for the 2nd set you can. I also have boxes of extra stuff like some engine internals. misc hardware. coolant pipes etc. You get all that with the bike in the auction. By far the biggest expense put into this bike was the engine head. These bikes were known for valve wear. If you buy a used Ninja 900 with any miles on it at all the valves will eventually need to be re-done. This head is all brand new! Cost me $1400 to have this head built. It has less than 30 miles on it. So here's is what I never finished or still needs to be done. The fuel gauge sending unit needs replaced. it could use some new handle grips and turn signal controller as they are faded out. The left side cover push tab broke off. (very common se picture) But I will give you a free cover that is not paint matched. I never got perfect seat for it. The one on it has a small tear in front. But it's better than 99% of them out there and you can get it re-upolstered for $100. So that's it. I am not going to say this bike it museum or concourse quality. I WILL say that Id place it in the top 95 percentile of all the Ninjas Ive ever seen from this era. If it were concourse quality. you'd never want to ride it though. I built this bike to be ridden and seen in public. Not stashed away in some warehouse. I welcome questions about anything as I'm sure there will be lots of them. Thanks for viewing and good luck bidding!
