I hate to do it but my wife just had twins. 1999 Kawasaki VN 1500 J Vulcan Custom Drifter Fuel InjectedI purchased this bike in 2006. and spent 6 years in my spare time completely tearing it down and rebuilding it to the custom look you see here. 1999 Drifters were blacked out (handlebars. fork covers. headlight bucket. dash panel etc). so I purchased alot of chrome! This bike has lived inside a heated/air conditioned garage since I bought it. It has never stayed outside overnight since I have owned it. I wanted this bike to have it's own look so I have added tons of chrome. custom paint. custom built rear fender brackets (to get rid of that big crash bar on the rear fender). painted front forks. chrome primary case. etc. etc. etc. Here is a list of SOME of the things I have done off of the top of my head:Painted tank. fenders. under seat covers PPG base coat/clear coat (5 coats of clear)Chrome beachbar handlebarsArlen Ness gas tank fill coverISO GripsCustom MirrorsNew Avon tiresNew front wheelNew fuel pumpChrome primary cover off of a 2001 1500 Vulcan (chrome- replaced the peen blasted cover)New chrome floorboardsNew ISO rear pegsNew chrome dash (stock was black)New chrome headlight bucketNew chrome head detail coversNew Vance and Hines Longshot exhaustNew Cobra dashlight panelNew aluminum painted custom rear fender bracketsNew low profile LED turn signals rearNew Arlen Ness chrome brake and clutch coversNew ISO shifter coverI had the brake lever and shifter triple chrome platedNew ISO brake pedal padNew chrome brake and shift leversNew chrome laydown license plate bracketNew Hot Toppers chrome bolt covers all over the placeNew battery 5/2014New front axle chrome coversNew rear axle chrome coversNew chrome water pump coverNew voltage regulator chrome coverNew chrome handlebar risers. nd I am sure there are quite a few more things I cannot think of. I also sanded and polished the fins on both heads as it really dressed up the bike. I painted the fork lowers with PPG basecoat/clearcoat as well. I have a factory double up seat with bracket that comes with the bike as well. I also have a full cover that comes with it. A few things that I think I should mention:Wire chase cover on front fender is missing- I never had one. I can supply you with the paint code so if you wanted to buy one and paint it you could. Bike does not have turn signals in the front. Wiring is all there tucked away in the headlight bucket. but I dont like the look of front run signals. Not sure about each state's laws so you may have to add them. Small clear lens on top of taillight is missing. Just haven't had time to order one. With the extra long beach bar handlebars. the throttle cable is pretty tight. Throttle returns on it's own. just not as fast as stock. Never bothered me but thought I would mention it. A sled fell off my garage wall and put a ding in the trim ring around the speedo. You can see it in the pictures if you look hard enough. If you are local to me and want to pick it up I am good with that. I will throw in a Harley Davidson front wheel spinner and an almost new Craftsman motorcycle jack. and all parts and pieces I have for the bike. I am in Hampton VA. The bike rides well and is a real head turner. All of my buddies with Harley's get jealous because no matter where we go. everyone goes nuts over this bike. and ignores their Harley. Clear title. My loss your gain. Good luck and e-mail with any questions. You will never find another Drifter that looks this nice. Over 15k invested. 24000 original miles. It has got to go.
