Description

Selling my 2009 Kawasaki KLR 650. I purchased this bike to modify for an Alaska trip planned for this year. My plans have changed. All parts installed on this bike are NEW except for the Givi windshield which I purchased from Ebay. I had 2 KLR's and sold my other one over a year ago that was stock. There are some clear coat scratches on the tank from the tank bag. but they do not go into the paint. They probably could be buffed out. but I never worried about it. If you were to build this bike. you would have over $4000 invested in parts. nbsp;PLUS the price of the bike. Everything was installed by a licensed mechanic. I'm sure to forget something. but here is the list:Continental TKC 80 tires with Moose Racing Heavy Duty Tubes. Progressive Mono Tube Cartridges installed in forks ( no more nose diving. changing fork oil. or worrying about leaking seals). Spiegler Stainless Steel Brake Lines (Match bike color). GIVI Touring Windshield. nbsp; Happy Trails Products: Fork Brace. Crash Bars. Engine Guard with highway pegs. Skid Plate. Master Cylinder guard. LED blinking Tail Light (flashes several times when first applying brakes for high visibility). and Dash Panel. Moose Racing Center Stand. extended shift lever. and rear trunk. Eagle Mikes Doo Hickey with torsion spring. upgraded subframe bolts. and oil fill cap. 2 Marine 12vdc outlets mounted on front fairing. 2 RAM mounts (one for Garmin Nuvi . gps not included ). and one adjustable spring clamp for phone. etc. IMS super sport serrated footpegs. Magnetic drain plug with safety wire hole drilled. Sun 16 tooth front sprocket. Eibach 500 lb rear shock spring. 1 inch raising links. Low Sargent seat. ( I have a 32 inch inseam and can place both feet almost flat on the ground ). Barkbuster Storm aluminum Handguards. Removable locking aluminum panniers with 4 top tie downs on each one ( just pull a cable loop pin and they come right off ). Extra clutch and throttle cables are run in parallel to the original ones. Renthal handlebar pad. KLR handlebar bag. Icon tank bag. First Gear dual heat troller install on handle bars (wires come up between the seat and tank). Gel battery. battery tender lead. Stainless steel bolt and screw upgrade kit installed. outside air temperature and voltage display ( runs on internal battery. or plug in 12vdc to read voltage. It's not waterproof. but it's wrapped in plastic. I wanted to read the voltage while using heated gear). Gas tank vent mod. kickstand switch mod are done. I didn't bother with the clutch mod. because all you have to do is unplug the electrical cable and jump the wires with a mini fuse. (NOTE: These mods are precautionary only. Several forum members have had problems with the engine dying out on the trail because of these). I had them done for peace of mind. instead of being in the mud somewhere at night raining trying to do it. All of the stock items will go with the bike. as well as a Clymer Manual. Zero Gravity Sport Dark windshield and spare filter. oil. plug. etc. The bike has always been stored inside with fuel stabilizer and started monthly. This bike is ready to take anywhere in the world and doesn't use oil like some of the 2008 models did. The 16 tooth front sprocket will keep your rpms down during highway speeds. where I think most oil consumption problems occur. The oil and filter were just changed when the Doo Hickey was replaced. ( less than 150 miles) Basically your are getting this bike for less than $1500 (try to find one with 2. 00 miles for that price) without all of the modifications. I encourage you to look up the prices of these items and see for yourself the cost. You will not find a better deal on a low mileage world travel ready KLR 650. New KLR's are selling for this. and the body style hasn't changed. Buy a new one and after taxes and modifications. you'll be over $10K. If you wish to fly into Dayton International Airport (DAY). I can come and pick you up and you can drive it home. If coming to pick it up. please bring help because I can't help you load it into your truck because of medical reasons. I live half way between Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio. I will assist in any transportation method that you procure. $500 deposit by Paypal is require in 48 hours. balance in cash or certified funds. If paying by certified check. the check must clear my bank before I'll mail you the title. You can take the title with you if paying in cash. No trades considered. All offers outside of Ebay will be ignored. If you have zero or negative feedback rating. please contact me or your bid will be cancelled. Please don't ask if I'll take less than the starting price. I would've started it lower if that were the case. Try building one for this price. This will be a one time listing. If it doesn't sell. the bike will be put back stock and sold. and individual parts sold separate. Please look at my feedback. I'm a firm believer in what goes around- comes around and I am honest about my listings. Added 4/04/15:Someone asked if it has handlebar risers. It has Eagle Mikes 1 inch risers. You can comfortably ride standing up. It also has Eagle Mikes prevailing torque nut on the front sprocket. No more messing with that bend over washer for quick sprocket changes.
