1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 LTD

1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 LTD B1 This Kawasaki has been through a full frame off restoration which included having the frame powder coated and the original paint on the tank and dovetail and side covers color sanded and cleared. As seen in the pictures. the original paint is in excellent condition(9 out of 10) there are no dents or scratches in the gas tank. dovetail or left side cover. but a slight mark in the original Kawasaki pinstriping on the right side side cover(as seen in the picture). The brake system has been completely rebuilt with EBC HH brake pads and steel braided lines front and back including an upgraded master cylinder which gives the front much better stopping power than the original. The tires are Michelin Commander II and have 4000 miles on them. I also installed the regulator/rectifier combo unit to increase charging at low RPM. the bike also has a maintenance free battery. instrument and turn signals are LED bulbs which are brighter and more efficient. handlebar controls are new on both sides with a new Dyna 3 ignition system. The suspension has also been upgraded including progressive rear shocks and complete front suspension rebuild including new Timken steering stem bearings. The engine is original and had 19. 00 miles on it before the engine was fully rebuilt using all heavy-duty components and upgrades including heavy-duty cam chain. and cam chain(roller bearing) idlers and tensioner and the cylinder head was rebuilt using competition valve springs and valve guide seals. The transmission has been completely rebuilt including a new clutch and the heavy-duty clutch release roller bearing upgrade. All the original gears and components of the transmission were measured and fell well within Kawasaki specifications. The bike is also equipped with the ultra-rare VM29SS Mikuni smoothbore carburetors which were completely rebuilt by Redline Cycles in Illinois (and jetted by me) which specializes in the Kawasaki KZ models and where all the heavy-duty performance parts came from. Since I built the bike back to a brand-new specimen. I purchased new gauges and the mileage (4700 miles) on the gauge shows the original mileage of the bike since it has been rebuilt. I am a former Kawasaki mechanic that specialized in all the 4 cylinder KZ models from the late 70's and have done 90% of the work myself. I am starting a new project and have to make some room. This is a fully documented restoration with All the receipts and will include all the extra parts (ie. Extra new set of cables. askets. Etc.
