Description

A bike like this does not come along that much anymore. It is the crown jewel of my collection. I am unable to enjoy it as I once was. My knees are shot and I can no longer kick it over and my poor health says its time to pass it on to a collector that will enjoy it or better yet put it in a museum where more enthusiasts will be able to enjoy it.The A-7 is in remarkable original condition. No restoration it has the original paint chrome and rubber parts. I have fully serviced the bike to get it road ready. as well as a New battery and period correct tires (the originals were unsafe) The tank has been professionally re-lined as there was surface rust inside. The bike could certainly be confused with a full restored model but thats not the case here. It's a pristine original survivor with less than 4000 original miles on it. It was purchased new in 1969 by the original owner andriden very little the first few years. It was then placed in a climate controlled building and five years ago it was brought back to life by the second owner Since then its been on display with the rest of the collectors bikes until I picked it up and loved it like an adopted child. It starts on the first kick and runs great. There are no dents dings or visible rust anywhere that I can see on the bike. I suppose if you look closely you will be able to see where it shows its age and the effects of the years but that's if you look very closely. Keep in mind the bike is 47 years old and has never been restored so its not going to be perfect like a ground up restoration would be. But its original!!! Where are you ever going to find another one even close to this condition? Those collectors that are familiar to this bike will appreciate how rare it is to even find one of these bikes let alone one in this condition. It really belongs in a museum and I would love to see that happen.A restored version of this bike went for over $9000 on ebay last fall. Iwould much rather own an original over a restored one. Who knows how a restored bike has been treated over the years? This bike is special and has been loved and appreciated its entire existance. Now for the neccessary disclaimer stuff. Take a look at the pictures closely. I have also included a link to my photobucket account showing more photos and a short video of the bike starting and running. Click Here Keep in mind it is a 47 year old vehicle and I do not want to respresent it as new or anywhere close to perfect. Its a one of a kind original but it will be sold to the winning bidder in as is condition with no warrenty or guarentee.
