The bike last ran about 6 months ago. It was always hard to warm up and get to idle. At idle there was a rattle and low power from idle to about 2200 rpms. The rattle disappeared at any throttle and at 2200 hold on because it roared.

The motor was then disassembled, ll cases polished and housings bead blasted. The cam chain tensioner was worn (source of rattle we believe) and replaced as was the cam chain. The head was sent to Pit Stop Performance in Orlando and given complete valve job, uides etc..

The bike was re-assembled and upon start-up there is a now a fuel leak at the pipe joint between carb 1 and 2. There was spark but I couldn't work on it long due to the fuel leak so I haven't gotten it running. I have the parts to fix the leak.

Here's what remains to be done:

  • Remove carbs, epair leak.
  • Get it running and tune it. I'm not sure if the low power from idle to 2200 rpms needs to be dealt with. I believe it is either a carb or timing issue. It may be the advance springs.
  • Bleed brakes
  • Paint the header. I was waiting to get it running to cure the paint properly.

I have a lot of time and money in this bike but I cannot find anyone locally to work on it and I have lost interest in it as I have another bike. I reserve the right to end this auction early as I have the bike listed locally for sale.

I will assist in loading the bike but shipping is responsibility of buyer. I can store the bike for you as long as needed to arrange shipping. Bike should be paid in full within 30 days of winning auction. Contact me with questions or specific picture requests.
