Bought this great Kawasaki F5 Big Horn in Salt Lake City. This gentlemen had owned it for years and like many of us, ought parts for the bike just to have. He was downsizing and moving elsewhere. His wife told him not to sell it, ut agreed to sell it to me. I have had recent spinal cord surgery and thought I was fine. However, struggled to have the leg strength to start it. My son started it right up in his tennis shoes. So, nce again dreams are bashed and its on to something else. Email me for videos. This bike has had a mechanical restoration, reservation. It starts right up and goes through all the gears like a boss.
This bike has never had a cosmetic restoration. Its about original and clean as you can find them. That said, he previous owner had taken the bike down to the frame and went through it. His claims of less than 3000 miles seem valid. There are no bad scrapes or frame damage anywhere. When he completed this process the bike ended up with many new parts that are on the bike and it runs like a champ. I think the clutch slips a little on hard acceleration, ut pulls off the line cleanly and quickly. It shifts through all 5 gears with ease. It also has new fork seals installed. I have 2 keys and a title. There is a battery eliminator installed. The horn works, ut is hard to hear over the sound of this mighty 2 stroke.
The cables: throttle, hoke, lutch, ront brake, peed, ach, ear brake cable, are all like new. It also supports new grips on the period correct chrome handle bars. There is a new air filter inside as well. All the rubber parts are in great condition and it probably has any replacement part you might need. The seat cover is new.
The bike rides on new dual purpose tires and chain. The sprockets are in great condition as are the brakes. Seriously, his bike is very dialed in.
What else makes this bike so expensive? Its in the spare parts list below. Please see supporting pictures
