Too many horses in the stable ....... Up for auction is my VERY nice 1984 GPZ1100. I traded for / bought this bike used at a bike meet andhave owned this bike for the last 11 years and it is an EXCELLENT bike and very fun to ride. This model / this body style was only manufactured by Kawasaki for 2 years. The 1984 engines had the larger 18mm wrist pins in the pistonsand these 1100 engineshad thehighly sought after cylinder head on them.I really hate to sell it, ut I have too many things going on, oo many bikes / projects setting around and the garage is full !This bike has been completely PROFESSIONALLY repainted and the paint on every body piece is perfect. The shield on the fairing is in EXCELLENT shape and is not all scratched up or cracked. The bike still has the original factory Kawasaki stickers on the chain guard and the fork legs. The bike also has a matching chinspoiler that has been added. The seat has been recovered and only has one riding season on it. There are NO rips or cracks in the upholstery anywhere. This bike has new aftermarket progressive fork springs andnew fork seals installed. The bike has a Kerker 4 into 1 header. The factory fuel injection system wasremoved when I got the bikeand I have aVERY NICE set of Mikuni 33 mm smoothbore carburetors on it and they work WELL. I am currently running velocity stacks on thecarbs, but also have a set of brandnew K& N filters and I can giveyou to go with the bikeas well. The engine on this bikedoes NOT smoke and runs well. The engine has an aftermarket cam chain adjuster that has been installed in place of the original factory unit, s the spring style thatcame installed from the factory was never the best on these engines. With the exception of a VERY SLIGHT weep of oil that is starting to come from the cam plugs at the end of the cylinder head, his engine is BONE DRY and does not leak oil. This weep at the cam plugs is not severe and is not a concern for me and theseplugsare readily available and can be replaced without a lot of trouble. I haven't had the time to pop the cam cover off to get this done and was going to wait until the end of the riding season to do so. Thefactory mag wheelsare in great shape and the chain andsprockets are good and the tires are about 50%.The aluminum GPZ plate on the outside face of the stator cover on the left hand side of the motor does have some VERY slight dimplesin it but there isNO damage to the cover andNOroad rash. I assume that at some point somebody probably dropped this bike while moving it around in their driveway or something. These dimples arenot very noticeable at all and I never bought a new plate to stick on it. ( This is just a cosmetic plate that has adhesive on the back that is stuck onto the cover )The bike has NEVER been dropped or down as long as I have owned it.Again this is a nice running, ice riding bike. I have only seen a few of these for sale on ebay and have never seen another in person since I've owned this machine. You very seldom if ever see this model in the shape this bike is in anymore on ebay or anywhere and most of them are in pieces. I have tried to provide good detail regarding the condition of this bike and I am doing my best to be totally honest.
IGUARANTEE you that if you roll up somewhere on this bike a LOT ofpeople WILL come up to check it out and talk to you about it. It is 31 years old and truly a collectors piece at this point.Again I hate to put it up for sale but too many things going on and too many other bikes and projects in the garage. Can't keep them all. You can pick this bike up or I am willing to crate this machine and ship it anywhere in the worldbut that cost to crate and ship is NOT TO BE CONSIDERED as included in the final sale price. The buyer will have to cover those costs separately from the sale price. The deposit made after the sale is not refundable andthe title does not get signed off and the bike does not leave my property until I either have cash in hand, ayment by wire transactionor a check that has cleared the bank - NO exceptions. I am a 50 year old rider and have not drag raced this bike or thrashed on it at all since I have owned it. I hope to see this bike go to someone who appreciates it for what it is and keeps it alive for another 30 years. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to e-mail me with them.
