Description

A Rare Opportunity from The Vintage Motor Toys LLC Private Reserve

Up for auction from my private collection, he Vintage Motor Toys Private Reserve, s my 1974 Kawasaki H1 E Mach III in candy red. This H1 is from my personal motorcycle collection and is the nicest and mostoriginal 1974 H1 I have come across to date-I would love to see a lower mileage example if someone has one. This H1 example has only 2,933 original miles on it and has a frame number of H1F-20387 and engine number of KAE-90385 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The build date reads 8/73. This H1 is veryoriginal and has not been totallymolested by an amateur hobbyist. It has been stored in my heated motorcycle storage area the entire time it has been in my collection and I am confident the new owner will appreciate the quality and originality of this overall outstanding H1. The new owner is essentially getting a low mileage, mostly original condition 1974 Kawasaki H1 which is very difficult to find. I would like to stress the fact that this motorcycle has not been restored. It is veryoriginal and very difficult to find in this condition. Please do not confuse this example with other H1’s commonly offered that are pieced together by amateur hobbyist selling motorcycles from a dirt floor shed in the middle of a farm field. This H1 is overall clean, orrect, and veryoriginal. I am the second owner after the original owner.

Mechanically, his outstanding H1 has been parked, tored and was last on the road in 1978. This prolonged storage has helped to preserve this example. It currently turns over smoothly with excellent compression and is barley broken in with under 3000 miles. I feel that an original H1 of this quality should be added to a collection as they are very difficult if not impossible to find in this type of original, ow mileage condition. If the new owner plans on driving this example, he carburetors will no doubt need cleaning at a minimum as well as any other general maintenance as required or recommended by Kawasaki to get this H1 back in safe running/driving condition as it has been stored for so long.

The body work on this H1 is original including the chrome and body work paint. The fuel tank sparkles and does show some sun fade and patina/dings from age and is rusted from being stored empty for so many decades. If the new owner plans to ride this H1 a new fuel tank may be in order. The rear tail section does have a few dings as well but nothing that detracts from the overall quality of this example. The side covers feature nice original condition paint/emblems and match the quality of the rest of the example. The gauges/dash board are very nice as well and match the condition of the rest of the H1. The front and rear fenders are original with no visible damage or major rust of any kind. The rims and spokes on this H1 are outstanding and feature the original and correct tires still mounted. The original tires are still soft and supple and verify that this example has under 3000 original miles on it. The chrome fork ears are nice. Rubber components and cables are still soft and flexible since the bike was in my heated motorcycle storage area. The mufflers and head pipes on this H1 are some of the nicest originals I have seen. They simply are very nice and the original Kawasaki chrome is in good original condition not only on the exhaust but everywhere on this H1. The exhaust of course include the factory installed baffles. The seat also appears very close to new condition with no damage-the original cover simply glows and is soft and supple-very difficult to find. The seat pan is of course solid as well.

The overall condition of this H1 is outstanding being it is veryoriginal and extremelylow mileage. There just aren’t many nice original H1’s left and this motorcycle really does belong in a collection. It could be enjoyed as is or if someone wanted a perfect starting point for a full, how quality restoration this would be the example or enjoy it as is. I am confident the new owner of this beautiful Kawasaki will be very, ery happy. This would be a very funmotorcycle towin shows with and could no doubt be anational winner.

I would like to stress once more that this H1 should not be confused with the others that the general public typically has to choose from. It has nothing to do with and never will have anything to do with the average H1 example or even a restored example. It is so clean, riginal and correct it would be very, ery difficult to find another one in this sort of condition especially from a reliable collector with outstanding feedback from selling New Old Stock parts and vintage Japanese motorcycles and at a starting price of $0.01 with no reserve.

I also of course have a clear title in my name as well as original Kawasaki key for this H1. This H1 is ready for export if the new owner lives in another country as well and the frame number matches the title exactly. This H1 would be the perfect example to add to a collection as an outstanding original or would also be ideal to enjoy in its current condition if the new owner so desires. I cannot stress enough what a rare opportunity this is to acquire a mostly original 1974 Kawasaki H1.
