I am selling my 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500 Fuel Injected FI due to a combination of a child on the way and an electrical issue.
Big comfortable cruiser with a lot of life still in it. Don't let the miles throw you as these cruisers are high-mileage cruisers capable of very long engine life!
*Fuel Injected - no fuss with a carburetor.
*Vance Hines Dual exhaust that has a good, emi-loud sound to it. Not quite the Harley sound, ut I've never desired those.
*Water Cooled - Flushed the antifreeze/coolant in Jan 2015.
*Rear seat with backrest and luggage rack.
*Kuryrakyn grips and foot pegs.
*Newer Pirelli Front Tire. Approximately 1500 miles on it. Installed last year.
*New fuel pump installed in Spring 2015.
*New spark plugs this season.
*Clutch was done last year, une 2014 (Have paper work) along with oil/fluid change.
*Includes a Manufacturers Repair Manual and Cover.
Recently, here was an occasional drop in voltage on the bike and I went to the killswitch on the handle bars took it apart to make sure the contacts were good. Put the housing back together and the motorcycle won't fire up. I believe it would be a relatively simple fix for the right person who knows their way around electrical. Battery functions, witches, orn, ights all work, ust won't fire up. Have a child on the way and time/priorities are rapidly changing.
Some other side notes...
*Don't have a key for the side cover to the tool box. That was lost a while back.
*Engine has a slight oil leak from a rubber gasket in the head that is a common design flaw of these motorcycles. Just need to eye the oil levels.
*Previous owner installed a Harley-esque ignition switch. Nothing to note, ust not stock.
*Rear tire is in decent/good condition. Could use a swap. Still tred life left.
*Small scuffs, light rust on bolts and a insignificant paint scratch on the bottom corner of the tank near the seat.
*Highway lights work. Plastic retainers from the chrome to the light have started to crack; and I've just electrical taped them for the time being. Cheap replacements on eBay.
