CORRECTION -
I made a mistake in the description of my H1.
We had restored two H1's earlier and Browns re-chromed pipes for those bikes.
The pipes from this bike had small dents in them that Brown's said they could not
make disappear. They could re-chrome over them but they would be more
evident than before.
So I contacted Mid Atlantic Kawasaki and we decided to pay the
$1,620 plus shipping for a new set from them. They are reproduced in Japan
for Mid Atlantic and are beautiful.
I apologize for my mistake and of course ..... any bid can be retracted because
of this mistake on my part. We just wanted the bike to be beautiful and didn't
want to re-chrome over dents.

I want to thank everyone for their interest in our H1.
Some folks have asked about oil leaks or if the bike has
been "down".
No, he bike has not been down or crashed. I have
noticed a quarter size oil spot on the ground, nder the
engine, fter it has been sitting. Also, fter the mechanics
road tested the bike, here was a dark oil spot from one of
the exhaust pipes to its rubber header connection under the engine.

To answer a couple of questions that were sent to us -
1) Yes the bike has a new clutch.
2) We did not bore the bike out. The mechanic felt
the cylinders were with in spec so we were going
to install new pistons during this upcoming Michigan
winter. The piston kits are readily available and many
are listed on Ebay today from $129 - $279 with special
piston coatings for less wear.
3) The 71 H1 was the first bike I purchased when I came
home from serving in the Viet Nam era US Army so it
was special to me. So we purchased this one and invested
lots into it!
4) Our H1 is being sold because I am experiencing both eye
difficulty. I had one surgery a month ago and it was found
that I need yet another one in early October. Getting old
isn't much fun.
Lastly, ransport for the bike from SE Michigan to your location
is pretty easy right now. Daily Direct/Haul Bikes, isted on the internet,
has a Summer Sale for $499 complete any bike anywhere
in the US. That includes their insurance. We have used their
delivery service 3 times, n the past 15 years, ith great success.
Thanks again everybody.

The bikes frame number correctly matches the clear Michigan title.
Matching frame and engine numbers are rare for this model.
The Kawasaki Triple Owners Group (on the internet) talks about this at length if you are interested.
And yes, e have two sets of original Kawasaki keys - two for the ignition and two for the steering head lock.
