1986 Kawasaki Concours Motorcycle 1000cc

This is a 1986 Kawasaki Concours 1000cc A1. Clean Title. This particular bike is the beginning of the legacy of ?ˆ?Connies?ˆ?.  These bikes were built for travel and to deliver power over and through rolling hills. I happily own a 1992 Concours ( not for sale). The 1986 Bike is sold as is. a working project. Runs and drives but will need work. Carbs are ready for a good cleaning or rebuild. I?ˆ™ve ridden this bike over the summer and had to play with the choke position to keep the bike from stalling. The bike has a pretty good oil leak from the left  side bottom end. The bottom end gaskets should be redone.  Changed the oil and oil filter. Clutch fluid changed.  Cosmetically the bike?ˆ™s plastic fairings are in ok condition and will need plastic repair (if you want a show bike).  My idea was to turn this bike into a naked concours cafe style.  The bike has NEVER been dropped while I?ˆ™ve owned it. Consider that the plastic panel covers are about 30 years old. Over time. the plastics can suffers cracks and scoffs. My dream originally was to have a cafe style connie.  But I have too many projects now.  I just can?ˆ™t take this one on. i truly hope this bike finds the right owner.  The mounted clock turns on but I haven?ˆ™t been able to set the time. The seat cover needs care. Yes I have the mirrors. just have to screw them back on. The tail light has a crack/hole. I am including new side marker blinkers and saddle bags.  The saddle bags are in fair condition. they could use some plastic restore work.  I purchased them separately but will include.  No keys for the latches as they are unlocked. You can change the locks or get a key made for them. Ride home if only going as far as 30 miles. But due to oil leak (oil drips onto the left exhaust pipe) from bottom end. its best to trailer this bike.  Please feel free to come take a look at the bike. The bike is sold as is. where is. Its up to the buyer to take a look before buying. These bikes are solid and made to go forever. This bike with some work will go another 60k. I will not sell to anyone who says they are looking to part this bike out.
