1976 Kawasaki KZ900 Z1 - KZ 900

Awesome 1976 KZ900 Z1 for auction. This thing sounds mean and feels like it has the performance to back it up. Clutch feels like it has race springs in it. Not sure on the plates. Dyna ignition system. Coils are NGK. Not sure if those are stock or not. Seems to run great. It does smoke occasionally. Not sure why. Maybe running too rich or valve stem seals. Seems to ride good as well. Has a newer battery and the tires look to be almost new. I was told by the 3rd owner that it has a harley rim laced onto the kawasaki hub. Paint is black with either micro flake or some type of pearl. pics look better than if you're staring at it up close (has some niks and scratches as you could imagine). 5' away it looks pretty amazing. Mostly unmolested. has had the fender eliminated and after market taillight put on. Lowering blocks to drop the rear end. Not certain on the exhaust, ut it looks like maybe kerker the way the header pipes are running. exhaust has been wrapped. No baffle in the pipe. Sounds great when its running, ut some may want it a bit quieter. Overall a fantastic piece of history, nd a good looking bike. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
