1973 Kawasaki S2 S 2 350 Mach II Low VIN Example

Up for auction is my low VIN 1973 Kawasaki S2 Mach II 350 Triple. I have owned this S2 for some time and had originally planned to do a show quality restoration with it being it is somewhat complete and overall very correct and in restorable condition featuring a low VIN. Unfortunately, now realize I don’t have the time to give this timeless classic the attention it deserves. The frame number appearing on this S2 is S2T-00803 and the engine number appearing on this S2 is S2E-29164 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The build date reads 6/72. This is also one of the first few hundred examples produced in the 1973 model year making it a very deserving restoration candidate. The odometer reads 2,281 and I believe this is the correct mileage. The original tires are still mounted and show about 2000 miles of wear. This S2 would be an excellent example to do a complete restoration with and the new owner could be enjoying this S3 next summer by either doing some minor maintenance/restoration work or by restoring it.

This S2 would be a perfect candidate for a complete restoration or daily driver with some restoring and general maintenance. I purchased it some time ago with the intent to restore because it is very complete and has most of the hard to find parts in good, sable condition. In addition it is a low VIN example and I acquired it from the original owner. The front fender is the correct original and shines very nicely with factory correct chrome. The original handlebars also shine nicely and do not appear to be bent or damaged. The rims and wheels are clean with no major rust and are very nice still featuring original tires in nice condition. The exhaust set on this S2 is in overall good original condition with absolutely no major rust or major damage. The exhaust pipes do have some scrapes and scratches but are overall very nice and very difficult to find in this nice of condition. They are solid and could be used as is or could be re-chromed. The head pipes are also in very nice condition as well.

Mechanically this S2 does turn over with good compression and did run strong at some time but has sat unattended for some time and will no doubt need the carburetors cleaned and points set as well as some restoration work and other maintenance. The motor appears to be complete, riginal and mostly correct. The original carburetors are also present and in nice overall condition as well the original air box. The S2 model is a very fun bike to drive and is much more drivable than the larger 500 and 750 Triples and is quickly appreciating in value as they are becoming very, ery difficult to find especially complete with a clear title that matches the VIN exactly on the S2 and ready to export.

Overall, his is a low VIN 1973 S2 that could be used as is with some maintenance/restoration and tuning or would be an excellent candidate for a complete show quality restoration. The most difficult part is done, inding the S2 with a clear title. These S2’s along with all Kawasaki Triples are becoming very difficult to find especially from a reliable collector with excellent feedback and as always at a starting price of $0.01 with no reserve.

I also of course have a clear title for this S2 in my name as well as. This Kawasaki S2 is ready for export and the title matches the VIN number exactly.
