I am selling my six-cylinder 1979 Kawasaki KZ 1300. I bought it six years ago as a barely running project. It now runs and rides.
Recent work includes having the three double-barreled carbs gone through and tuned, new Pingel fuel valve installed, ork seals were redone, nd the old exhaust replaced with a new stainless 6-into-1 header and pipe (it sounds great).
The tires still have good tread. The fuel and temp gauges work, ut the tach and speedometer do not. Both my mechanic and I have fiddled with it, ut haven't had any luck yet. Headlight works, s does the tail/brake light. Turn signals work, nd the brakes do their job in stopping this 725lb bike. It also has a new battery (as of last summer). I just rode it yesterday (11/4) about ten miles to my brother's house.
Like all older bikes, he suspension and brakes could probably use an upgrade. There isn't anything glaringly wrong that the bike desperately needs, hough.
