This is a period modified H1-D 500 triple. It has been stored and not run since 1978. It is rusty and crusty, ut complete and a very cool period piece. The engine is probably stuck, ut so is the gear lever, o it's hard to tell if it's in gear or not. No attempt has been made to start the bike. The chain was cut to facilitate moving the bike. The tires hold air and it rolls and steers fine.
This has some super cool period mods. It has a Rickman fairing, ear sets, nd expansion chambers. (Rumor has it that this bike spent many fast runs up and down PCHaround Huntington/Seal Beach with the front tire in the air....) The fairing has a small piece missing out of the windshield as shown in the photos. Note the frenched-in front turn signals. The bike shows a little over 8000 miles on the clock, robably original from being on the road for just 5 years.
There is a dent in the right side of the tank. The rest of the body work is excellent. The paint will even polish up to a shine as can be seen on the left rear tail cowl. All the chrome is pitted and rusty, s is much of the bare metal hardware. The seat pan is rusty and will need replacing. The gas tank has some rust inside but appears to be solid-see photo. This motorcycle needs a complete restoration and deserves to bebrought back to its former glory!
