Super Clean 1981 Kawasaki KX420 Low Hours AHRMA Vintage MX CR RM YZ VMX

This is an extremely low hour 1981 Kawasaki KX420 that I purchased from California a couple months ago.The bike was originally trail ridden and put in to storage for many years. I've never seen a 31 year old dirt bike with as nice of spokes, ardware, nd pipe ect. Notice the air box cover the black paint not even wore off, he owner must not have ridden with boots on. My plan was to make it into a Brad Lackey replica and vintage race it, ut it is just to nice and rare to do that. The bikes motor was taken apart the cylinder was re-plated, ew piston, ings, askets, eals, arb rebuilt,ect. The rear shock was rebuilt as was the forks. The stock silencer[ non-rebuildable]was cut andrebuild and painted. This is the only item that was repainted on the bike.I did not repaint the cylinder after it was re-plated. I have all the receipts. The only non-stock item on the bike is New Oury grips, ir filter, eedle and seat, iston/rings, gaskets, lack fork bootsand gas line. I have the original green fork boots seen insome of the pictures and original manuals.Even the original tank decals and tiresare on it !I wouldn't have had to do any of this stuff, ut like I said I planned on racingit.The bike has about 20 minutes break in time on it.This bike runs and rolls like a new bike! Bike comes with a extra sealed and painted gas tank that looks like what BradLackey ran in 1980. I think it would be hard to find a lower hour KX420 in the country. For sale locally auction may end at any time.
