1981 Kawasaki KZ250 CSR250 KZ CSR 250 Amazing Collectors Condition 2600 Miles

I WANT TO NOTE: Those are light little snowflake dots you see NOT paint overspray or blemishes. I took it out of the shop to take pictures and it is snowing. The bike looks even better in person !
This bike is a two owner machine. The last title transfer took place back in 1988.Both owners were older adults. The bike is amazing. From what we were informed, t rarely saw highway use and was an in-town work commuter. It will need a little work, nd heres why:
This spring, he owner brought it in to get new tires and battery for the season, aving not even tried starting it before hand (and yes, he tires and battery were installed and are new). When he got it home, e couldnt start it. Well, t has no spark. Instead of fixing it, e went and bought a new scooter. And we bought the bike. I tried the coil, ut that wasnt it. BUT, can almost tell you with certainy, hat since the bike sat alot,I'd bet ya a cold beer the stator/mag has a bit of surface rust and might possibly be good to go if you open it up and clean it off. But I am not promising this.
But if you know machines, t can only be the stator, DI, r coil (with an EXTREMELY low possibility of it being the run switch but I tried a bypass and that didnt do it). And Ive priced all three on ebay and this is a cheap fix to buy used parts. Everything else works perfectly. The starter, ights, ignals, tc. The bike is amazingly spotless and I proceeded to give it a 3 hour detail up on the lift.
Youll notice the spark plug is out. This is because when we store bikes here in MN we toss a little oil on the top end, nd keep the plug out for expansion/contraction in our odd temp changes (old school storage!). You will be very happy with the condition of this bike. Other then a very small seam seperation thats covered in black tape, hey just dont get much nicer then this at 34 years old !
Due to the bike being non-running, t is sold as is (sorry but too many underqualified garage mechanics out there). However, pride myself on my reputation, guarantee you it isnt a blown up pile of scrap. I know the guy that owned it, e is a regular customer and a true gentleman. I wouldnt risk my ebay rating on "hopes and dreams!".
