Thank you for viewing my auction, p for sale is my 2002 Kawasaki Ninja EX250. I purchased this bike from a dealer that was going out of business. They had the bike torn apart to check out the ticking/knocking noise and just never got around to diagnosing the problem. When I purchased it, ll of the fairings were off, he tank was off, nd the valve cover and a few miscellaneous parts were missing but most were in a box that was included with the sale. The only things that I know of that are currently missing are the left turn signal and the water pipe that attaches to the back of the motor from the radiator hose. Both pieces are relatively inexpensive. I'm selling because we're buying a house and I just don't have time to work on it as our new house is a project in itself, o I'd rather see this go to someone that wants to have some fun with it. I had one of these many years ago and it was certainly not fast, ut an absolute blast to ride because of how light it is. And the mileage is correct and original, t only has 6429 miles.
Once I got it home, did start working on it a little bit. New plugs and a battery was all it needed and it started right up. The knocking noise definitely sounds like it is coming from the top end, ut I always welcome anyone to come by and hear it before you bid. Other than the noise, t does appear to be leaking a little fuel from the carburetors when the motor isn't running, ost likely a sticky float or seat. It does currently run but needs the slightest bit of encouragement from the throttle to stay running, o it may be that the carburetors need rebuilt which didn't look like a terrible job when I was researching it.
Other than those issues, he bike is in beautiful condition. No rust, airings are in excellent shape save for a few minor scratches, he wheels are in excellent condition, nd except for a few minor scratches here and there that are hardly noticeable it is a great looking bike. It was very well taken care of by the previous owner and it shows. A few small issues with the body work, he left side panel has a rubber bumper that's cracked off and it does move a little bit, ut it is secured with screws so it should not fall off. Also, he bike did not come with any hardware, o I purchased a new stainless hardware kit for it and that will come with the bike. I secured most of the panels loosely for the pictures, ut since it will need work and they'll have to come off again anyway, didn't torque anything down other than hand tight.
I'd love to be able to keep the bike as a toy, ut I know it'll end up just sitting at our new house collecting dust. I would really like it to go to someone who is mechanically inclined that can fix it cheap and have fun with it. If you have any questions about the bike at all, lease do not hesitate to ask. Also, f you'd like to take a look at it before the auction ends, will most certainly do my best to get together at a time that works for both of us.
