Description

Very beautiful two owner 1981 Kawasaki CSR250. The CSR250 is quite rare. It was highly over-shadowed by the 305 model and didn't see a very long production life. This is a two owner example, he last owner having purchased it in 1988. It has just over 2600 original miles, nd was used as in an town work commuter.
Everything on this bike works, rom the horn to the signals. Up until last season, t still had the original tires (and probably the original air lol ! ) but they were getting dried out so now it has brand new ones. It had sat in storage since last spring. We purchased it in fall of 2015. Yesterday I brought it out of our storage building, ut in some fresh gas, nd it fired right off (good battery, ought in 2014).
Motor sounds like it just rolled off the line. You do have to feather the throttle and clutch until it gets good and warmed up. It is missing the air cleaner element, nd I believe that is the cause because when I put my hand over the back, r choke it a bit, t clears up significantly (lack of carb back pressure). Or possibly the idle jet is a touch gummed up. Then again, ts 10 degrees and icy here in northern Minnesota so I wasn't able to run her down the road to try and clear it up.
As for the overall condition, ts quite amazing for a bike of this vintage. There are a few belt buckle scratches on the rear of the tank. And a very small rip on the back of the seat that they covered up with black tape. All the chrome shines like the day it was dipped. Engine is super clean, he carb still has the "caution" sticker on it, nd they usually disintegrate after a couple thousand miles.
Ive been appraising bikes for about twenty years. And if I were to put this on a 1-10 scale, 0 being the best, t's a solid 7.5.
There is a non-refundable deposit of $100 due within 24 hours.Full payment due within 3 days. If full payment is not received within that time, t will be relisted and deposit is forfeited. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges. I do not do quotes as it is quite time consuming BUT, oing by my experience a bike like this will run ya anywhere from $300-$600 on average, epending on your location (but dont quote me). The NADA book value on this bik, n this condition, s $1780. Realistic collectors value is more in the $2000 range. I am pricing this low enough for you to afford to have it shipped. Winning bidder please contact me for final arrangements. Thank you !
