1981 Kawasaki KZ1300 Museum/Collector Quality Superbike

Here's a rare opportunity to own a much sought after, ow mileage, uperbike-Kawasaki's KZ1300. This impressive machine, hich was made for only 3 model years, as Kawasaki's answer to Honda's CBX. With 3-2 barrel CV carbs, lectronic ignition, iquid cooling, ir adjustable suspension, haft drive, riple disc brakes, nd an ungodly amount of horsepower on tap this six cylinder beast epitomizes the classic superbike era. This particular bike was purchased new by a customer of mine-I'm a contractor- in the spring of 1982 as a dealer demo. It is completely stock and original just as it came from the factory with the addition of lower engine guards/pegs and new grips. I have the original title, ill of sale, wners' manual, ool kit and factory brochure. The bike is in excellent running condition and was recently serviced including a new rear tire and battery. Carb jetting and exhaust are stock. Everything works as it should including all lights, witches, tc. Cosmetically the bike is very good to excellent. The original paint and chrome shine nicely. There are a few small chips which I have tried to highlight in the pictures and a small dent on the tank top 3 inches up from the seat the size of a pencil eraser. There is some pitting on the chrome engine cases which in no way detracts from the look of the bike. The mufflers and head pipes are very,very nice. There is no blueing and you can tell the bike has always been in tune. The inside of the tank looks like new and has never been coated. Under the seat looks just as it came from the factory. The tail storage compartment contains two new spark plugs and the last registration-2011. The tool kit in the original pouch looks like it was never used. Riding the bike is a real thrill. The acceleration takes your breath away. If you've ever ridden the touring version, awasaki's Voyager, magine shedding all that bodywork and several hundred pounds. All I can say is you better know what you're doing when you grab a handful of throttle because this baby howls like a Ferrari and pulls like a locomotive! It will bury the federally mandated 85 mph speedo in second if you want to. At my age its way too much for me and doesn't fit my 60's-70's collection. I don't know how many of these are left and there can't be many in this condition. I don't remember seeing one come up on Ebay recently. I have set a very reasonable reserve for this motorcycle.
