1981 KAWASAKI KDX250 81 KDX 250 - Like New - Vintage - 390 Actual Miles - MX

I am selling a very pristine 1981 Kawasaki - KDX 250 - B1 in near new condition, ith 390 actual miles. I bought this bike from the original owner when it was a couple of years old with less than 100 miles. It has all original parts, xcept the petcock. It has never been apart or raced. Right now it has a number plate and bark-busters on the handle bars, ecause I rode a short enduro with my son and just never switched it back. I have the original headlight assembly. All plastic is original, ut I did have some of the parts urethaned by a body shop because they were starting to fade a little, ear fender and side panels. I buffed the front fender, s you can see it is a perfect match. The only drawback is that it needs a decent tank, he original was gas stained. I let a guy bead blast it and he really chopped it up. The one in the picture has some filler and is urethaned and it looks really nice, f it will stay. I have bought two other tanks that need to be buffed. You can have these tanks, lso.I don't use ethanol! There just isn't any wear and tear on this bike! I will answer any questions you may have and provide more pictures, f needed. It is an antique and I am dropping the buy-it-now price from $4500 to $3900, nd will consider reasonable offers. This will be a local pickup only, n Tulsa Ok. My preference is cash at pickup. Any other form of payment will have to be pre-paid and cleared before pickup. My current asking price is actually about what a restored bike would list for.

I have had a couple potential buyers who could not afford to ship it. I would be willing to negotiate some sort of delivery by driving part way to help reduce delivery costs. If you are considering this do not bid until we reach some sort of agreement. Email me!

P.S. - I started it a couple of days ago and the carburetor started leaking. I pulled it apart and saw that the needle and seat need to be replaced. I have ordered a new needle and seat from Ebay and hopefully it will be here this weekend. I should have it ready to go by the next weekend.
