Kawasaki KX500 Hybrid

Hi  For sale is my KX500 Hybrid. We have a 1986 KX500 (B2) engine. in a specially fabricated 2002 KX500 frame. The bike is absolutely insane to ride. It's got all the power and grunt of the old school 500's. however its lightweight. responsive and nimble. I've ridden both the KX and CR 500's and the KX always had the stronger engine. nbsp;however the CR frames were continually developed through the 80's and 90's and by the mid 90's. the CR became a much better bike to ride. This KX. with its 2002 Kx250 frame. would smash even the last of CR 500's.  I've had the bike two years now and in winter of last year I had a full nut and bolt rebuild by Rich Lee of Atlantic Motorcycles in Newquay. The engine and gearbox was completely stripped down and rebuilt. The cylinder is still on the original bore so had a standard sized piston/ring kit fitted. The bike has absolutely tonnes of compression and is an absolute b@st@rd to kick without the decomp valve. I had the gearbox stripped and rebuilt however all parts were in good nick so nothing was changed. Had brand new clutch including. cable. plates and basket (which is getting difficult to source now). Also Rich fitted the head professionally drilled and had the decompression valve fitted. which makes it kick over like a 125. and is a lifesaver for your boots and the kick starter. In addition to the engine bits I had brand new wavy disks and pads fitted front and rear and various bearings changed. Since then. I've ridden it a handful of times. I love the bike but its sat gathering dust and I need the space and the cash. Happy for anyone to come and inspect it and fire it up. If you're looking for a KX500. you'll see that most of these are selling anywhere from £2500-£4. 00 now as they are getting rare.  I'm happy for someone to take this for sensible money.
