1977 KAWASAKI KZ1000 28K MILE SURVIVOR ORIGINAL OWNER

Up for bid is the 1977 Kawasak KZ1000A i bought new in early 1977 which i have owned & cared for 37+ yrs thus far that unfortuntely have to sell due to a medical/back problem.

The motorcycle has never been in an accident and for its age/37+ yrs is in better then avg especially considering its a totally unrestored survivor with 28. 16 original miles on it.

Everything works fine on the motorcycle. t starts up easily. runs very well. ransmission shifts well thru all grears and clutch works well too.

Paint is in better then avg cond with good shine to it but again its original 37+ yr old paint so isnt in new/just restored cond either so make sure you check mout the pics to see the cond the motorcycle is in before bidding.

The Kerker 4 into 1 has some surface rust on pipes close to head and where it goes under motor as can be seen in pics. ut the chrome on the main megephone thats mostly visable is in very good cond.

I always changed the oil often and it never went more then 1k miles without an oil & filter change in the 37yrs i have owned it thus far.

But even though the motorcycle only has 28. 17 original miles on it its still got 37+ yrs of age on it so keep that in mind .

As you can see it has a Kerker 4 into 1 on it with quiet baffle in it. ut i will include the short/loud comp baffle with the bike along with the original exhuast too thats shown stored in a box in auction pics.

Bike also has the optional Kawasaki King & Queen seat thats in great cond. ut i will also include the original seat to the bike thats in great cond with no rips or tears too.

There are also Muholland perf shocks on the rear along with a noin stock sissybar too but i will also include the original rear shocks and original rear grab bar too.

I also upgraded the ign to a Dyna elctronic ign to replace the points along with accell coils & new plug wires that really made a different in the way the motor perf. as a great upgraded. But i still have the original  breaker plate/points and original coils and wires too that will come with the bike too.

Lastly i installed a small windscreen a while back too.

Bike passed NYS inspection no problem with brakes & tires being in good cond as well as everything lese required to pass NYS inspection too.

I have recently done the following to the bike over past 8-10months unless noted otherwise :

* INSTALLED NEW PLUGS

* CHANGED OIL & FILTER ((i USE SPECTR 20W-50 STD DINO MOTORCYCLE SPECIFIC OIL)

* INSTALLED NEW AIR FILTER

* INSTALLED NEW IN LINE FUEL FILTERS

 IN FUEL LINES GOING TO CARBS.

* INSTALLED NEW FRONT & REAR TIRES & TUBES

* REBUILT REAR MASTER CYL . LUSHED REAR CALIPER . /p>

THEN REFILLED WITH NEW BRAKE FULID AND BLED REAR BRAKE SYSTEM.

AT THE SAME TIME I FLUSHED FRONT MASTER AND FRONT CALIPER . /p>

REFILLED WITH NEW BRAKE FLUID AND BLED FRONT BAKE SYSTEM.

FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS WERE IN GOOD COND PASSING NYS INSPECTION.

* CHECK/ADJ VALVES AND INSTALL NEW V-COVER GASKET ALONG

WITH REPLACING THE 1/2 ROUND RUBBER END CAPS GASKETS LOCATED  

IN THE HEAD 

* INSTALLED A NEW TACH SEAL WHERE TACK CABLE ENTERS TO HEAD.

* REBUILT FRONT MASTER CYL (APPROX 2. 5-3 YRS AGO. ) 

* INSTALLED A NEW HI PERF MAINT FREE AGM DEKA POWER SPORT BATTERY.

(1-1. 5YRS AGO)

 THOSE BATTERIES LAST 5-6YRS ON AVG AND IT ALSO HAS A HIGHER

THEN STOCK REQUIRMENT 210CCA RATING VS A STOCK

 REPL BATTERY THAT HAS 190CCA RATING.  

* INSTALLED AN NOS FUEL PETCOCK (1. 5-2 YRS AGO)

* CARBS. EPLACED THE RUBBER INTAKE MANIFOLDS THAT GO BETWEEN CARBS 

AND HEAD ON MOTOR . LSO CLEANED THE CARBS. REPLACED NEEDLE & SEATS. /p>

ADJUSTED FLOAT LVL'S. NSTALLED NEW FLOAT BOWL GASKETS

 & SYNC'D THE CARBS TOO.

* NEW FORK SEALS AND OIL (3YRS AGO)

So this bike is truely a turn key survivor that needs nothing done to it that you can just ride when you get it! 

Buyer is resp for all shipping costs. i will do my best to be available when buyer and or 

shipping company is scheduled to come by to pick up the bike (post auction end & full payment is

recieved and has cleared bank if not cash ballance payment) along with and all the items that i state go with the bike too.

* I HAVE THE ORIGINAL WARRANTEE CARD AND BILL OF SALE IN MY NAME ALONMG WITH

A CLEAR TITEL IN MY NAME TOO.

BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE INK FROM THE CARBON COPY ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE I RECIEVED AT TIME OF

PURCHASE HAS FADED SO MUCH OVER THE PAST 37+ YRS ITS MOSTLY UNREADABLE.
