KAWASAKI ZEPHYR 1100 

If you are looking at this you will know how rare the wire wheeled version is.  I've owned this bike for the last couple of years but it has been stored in my garage for the last 23 months without use. Now it's time to part with it.

Having bought the bike I sent the panels. tank and seat unit to Dream Machine to be painted in Candy Apple Blue a Z900 colour cost £680. the paint work is flawless as the bike hasn't been used since the paint was done. On 18 September I took it to my local garage where it was serviced and MOT'd with no advisories Some of the extras fitted are as followsHagon rear shocksBraided brake and clutch linesChrome front mudguard and radiator guardPolished engine casings. footrest hangers. chain guard. grab rail and swing arm.

The wire wheels are painted black. I've been quoted £350 by Central Wheel and Tyre to have stainless rims and spokes laced to the existing hubs.

The chain. sprockets and tyres have done less than 200 miles. The bike has done less than 4. 00 miles in the last 6 years and 8 miles in the last 2years !.

I have 8 previous MOT's. the stamped service book. a mass of receipts for work carried out. the hand book. both keys and the service manual.

I will be sad to see it go but it's just time to move on. bad knee etc .

Having ridden it to it's MOT and back some 8 miles  it's not running as smoothly as it should I suspect stale fuel as it ran perfectly before I stored it away. It starts on the button but at low revs it occasionally misfires.

Someone with more time than me I'm sure would be able to get it running the way it should. maybe it just needs the carbs cleaning as there is a great spark and compression on each cylinder.
