For sale my 1991 Kawasaki KLE500 Nice bike in very good condition for 23 yr old machine. !!   Full 12 months MOT + Tax till end of Oct 2014Work done in last 12 months includes : Full strip down- frame. swing arm & all major frame parts & brackets blasted & powder coated- frame silver grey. swing arm & other parts satin black Engine- fitted replacement from a 2001 GPZ500 with genuine 6000 miles from new. this is a GEN2 engine with uprated flywheel. generator & cam chain tensioner. runs GPZ igniter + standard KLE carbs & airbox Front forks. stripped & re-built with new seals & oil Swing arm. blasted. powder coated & fitted with new bearings & seals New EBC sintered brake pads front & rear Front brake master cylinder rebuilt with new seals New taper roller steering head bearings Fitted new heated gripswiring loom re-wrapped Carbs. stripped. cleaned  rebuilt & balanced Carb/airbox rubbers replaced with NOS items New spark plugs fittedFrame rubbers- replacedMost fasteners replaced with stainlessStarter motor completely rebuilt with new brushesCoolant replaced with 5yr long life typeShock linkage stripped-greased & rebuilt with new sealsNew Conti TKC88 front tyreOil & filter changed approx 500miles ago Has Hagon rear shock. new fuel tank fitted a couple of years ago. has no rust inside or out. stainless brake lines front & rear. chain & sprockets in good condition. Bodywork is in good order. one side panel part has a hairline crack. Just MOT'd at the weekend. flew through no warning or advisoriesBasically this bike is a good solid work horse. starts & runs absolutely fine. it has been stripped & re-built as described above. with everything cleaned & greased or replaced. its good for another 10 years reliable service. GPZ500 engine gives it a bit more get up & go. V5 is up to date with replacement engine number. I have plenty of photo's of the strip down if required. Need a bit of space in the garage for a new project. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CONCOURS STANDARD BIKE !! IT's A 23 YR OLD BIKE THAT HAS BEEN STRIPPED & RE-BUILT WITH A LITTLE BIT OF TLC. DO NOT EXPECT A FULL NUT & BOLT SHOW ROOM BIKE.
