This rare old Kawasaki KZ400D3 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 14338 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the L/h side panel. Battery. Carb bottoms & airbox rubbers. The bike has obviously stood a while as the paintwork is faded & front brake is binding slightly. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as solid as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. good hubs. brake plate. disc. caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & very tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Fuel tank & side panel are faded but tank is clean inside and has just minor marks & scratches in the original paint. Exhaust system is original & solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compression but we haven't run it up. REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Kawasaki UKs customer services on 01628 856643 with the frame & engine Numbers. /p>

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you a tax disc with your age related registration number.
