Re-listed due to time-waster

Kawasaki VN1500 Meanstreak P1H 2001 - UK Model on 51 plate purchased used from dealer in Glasgow in 2011.

I bought the bike with about 44. 00 on the clock. which seemed a lot but on inspection it didn?ˆ™t show. The bike was very well looked after and hadn?ˆ™t seen many rainy days. and as such it then hammered down for all10 hours of my ride back to Bristol.

Over the years I have chopped and changed a fair few things on the old-girl. getting her to a point where I am happy with the style. She?ˆ™s now at the stage where she just needs a few touches to tidy her up. I am not going to list all the things I have done to her as they are all plain to see. I will mention a few and the problem areas:

The Good:

Vance & Hines Longshot Exhausts

Kuryakyn Hypercharger Air intakeK&N Air Filter

Dynojet Powercommander III USB

Serviced every six months (Plugs. Filter. Oil. Washer. Drive-Shaft Oil. Cleaned & Oiled Air Filter with K&N Oily Stuff)

Drive shaft changed at around 46. 00 ?ˆ“ at the same time the swingarm was rubbed down and re-painted as there was some corrosion

HEL Stainless Braided Hoses

Brake Calipers re-built with new seals and painted last year

The Neg:

No Tax or MOT

Front Brake Pads need replacing

Needs a good clean (wheels especially)

Hypercharger lower bolt sheared (hole badly re-drilled ?ˆ“ see photograph)

FR Headlight mount was as prototype with intention to get friendly neighbourhood engineer to machine replacement. but it worked and looked alright so I just rubbed it down and sprayed it black. there is a little rust showing at the weld

Vance & Hines Longshots are without baffles. they sound fantastic especially on let off but the novelty quickly wore off with the neighbours at 5am starts.

There is some surface rust on them but that can be cleaned up with a brillo and a quick coat of Halfords High Temp Exhaust Rattle-can).

They are also scratched on the underside from cornering like Rossi (testament that this despite being a low-lump. Meanstreaks handle WELL once you?ˆ™re in-tune with them).

Headlight & Indicator wired with bullet connectors ?ˆ“ with the intention of tidying and soldering once the headlight mount was re-made.

Speedo removed and idiot lights re-routed to dash ?ˆ?shroud?ˆ? in-properly (will provide wiring diagram to sort out).

If you spend a weekend or two sorting that out you?ˆ™ll have a hell of a bike with loads of grin factor. will turn heads down any highstreet and will throw a hell of a lot of torque and noise!

It is pretty heart breaking to sell her. but I have a few bikes and since selling-out and buying  BMW Adventure I?ˆ™ve not ridden anything else! With less and less room in the garage it was decided after our last house-move that ?ˆ?Vinnie?ˆ? would have to go.

Bid to buy and feel free to arrange a viewing if you find yourself in the area.

Cheers.
