1999 Kawasaki Er5/Er500Next MOT due August 2015. Lovely example of Kawasaki's bullet-proof commuter. packed with extras. Bike is 15 years old. so it is not in showroom condition. but the main thing is. it is reliable. The paint has not cracked/flayed anywhere. Never had a problem even on cold mornings. just use a bit of choke and she runs fine. I used this mainly to commute to work everyday and it copes very well. Thin enough without the panniers to filter in traffic. but spacious enough for those longer journeys just by adding the boxes on. Comfortable in all weather and deceptively easy to control for such a big bike. I'm 6"5 and im fine on it. Would be a solid winter bike for any ability. The extras included are:Massive 52L Top box - easily fits 2 full-face helmetsGivi Monokey WingrackGivi Monokey Pannier Box 17L x 2 - small scratches to bottom of boxes. reflective strips on front faces sides. Attach and detach in 5 seconds using same key. 12V power socketOxford Heated Grips - very useful for the upcoming colder weatherBagster tank bag - protects the fuel tank plus the option to create further storage. Adjustable touring screenUltra-bright LED lamp situated under the main headlight - not currently connected. but fitted to bike frame. Brand new front tyre - The current one is legal. but a spare is available when it needs changingEngine crash bars - Not currently fittedHaynes Manual - anything and everything you need to know about this bike. in one book. In terms of running costs. I commute 150 miles a week. and this will do it on one tank of fuel. which costs me between £10-£15 to fill up (depending on how brave i am brimming the tank)Insurance for a 23 year old TPFT is roughly £30 per month. So weekly its actually cheaper than a bus/train. Tax is £58 per year. My reason for sale is I bought this bike recently after passing my A2 licence. however I have decided to go big and treated myself to a new Triumph. Sad to see her go. but my garage is cramped enough as it is. apparently "Having three bikes is too much"No reserve and cash on collection. Please can the winner message me to discuss pick up within 2 hours of auction end. Feel free to ask any questions
