Description

For sale is my beloved ZX6R C1H 2005. I?ˆ™ve had this bike for 14 months and have loved every minute of it. It runs great and in my opinion is the nicest looking Ninja of this era. When selling any of my previous bikes I have always believed honesty is the best policy so I will list all defects (mostly cosmetic) there may be. But first. I will start with the good bits. ?· Starts on the button every time. Has never let me down?· 10 months MOT remaining?· Akrapovic under seat exhaust?· Gold fully adjustable race brake/clutch levers?· Carbon fibre infills (left side has a stone chip)?· Tail tidy with LED indicators integrated to the brake light?· Carbon fibre look front hugger?· Carbon fibre rear hugger?· Crash bobbins?· Like new rear tire and very good condition front?· Black double bubble screen?· New chain fitted 2 months ago?· Have new front and rear sprockets to go on which will be included in the sale?· New front wheel bearings fitted 2 months ago?· I also have a small number plate and seat cowlAs you can see from the pictures. it?ˆ™s a lovely looking bike and everything electrical and mechanical works as it should. I?ˆ™ve owned a number of 600cc sports bikes and nothing has put a smile on my face like this does. The 636cc engine has some serious grunt! Now this is where I need to explain a couple of things. The bike looks fantastic in the pictures and it does in real life too however. it isn?ˆ™t perfect. I purchased this bike as a Cat D write off (cosmetic write off only and I have proof of the check carried out). Being a Cat D the ride isn?ˆ™t affected but there was some damage to the fairing. Because of this I wrapped the bike in very high quality vinyl wrap. Now while I think I?ˆ™ve done a good job. there are bits that could do with a little attention which I haven?ˆ™t got round to yet. I am even willing to wrap the whole thing again in whatever colour the buyer wishes (I used to do wrapping as a career so I can get a decent finish). The buyer would of course need to cover the cost of materials. The wrap comes off easily to reveal what underneath is a brilliant looking bike (I even left almost all of the racing decals on in case I ever wanted to try and go back). It?ˆ™s originally got the Monster energy racing fairings (the last picture is what the fairing looks like underneath except with a silver nose cone and some damage on the left hand side) but as I said. the Cat D write off means there is damage which is clearly visible. The front nose cone was completely replaced with a silver one which doesn?ˆ™t match the bike. With a little work it could easily be restored to its former glory. Now it?ˆ™s time to list the bad bits. As I say. nothing structurally. eclectically or mechanically wrong. Purely cosmetic?· Scuff on the golf racing clutch lever?· Small tear on riders seat?· Pillion seat isn?ˆ™t perfect?· A few imperfections with the vinyl wrap (as stated above)?· The cat D write off damage is on the left side so there are scuffs down that side only?· The carbon fibre rear hugger has a chip out of it?· Petrol tank has a slight dent in the top left?· Stone chip on left tank infill?· Nose fairing underneath vinyl is silver and doesn't match rest of the bike?· Speedo bracket has snapped on the left side. Makes no difference and isn?ˆ™t even noticeable without being pointed but again. I want to be as up front as I can. ?· Because of the Akropovic exhaust isn?ˆ™t standard. the servo that tells the engine management system the exhaust is working as it should isn't there. Meaning the FI light remains on. This is easy enough to fix by purchasing a servo buddy. I highly recommend coming to view the bike and see it run. The Akrapovic exhaust sounds great and you?ˆ™ll be able to see what I mean about the imperfections mentioned above. Only selling due to the purchase of a new bike in the next few weeks.  I've never owned a brand new bike and I?ˆ™m tempted by the new 2014 Ninja. only If I can persuade the Mrs to allow me to get one. I might be tempted to make a swap deal for another sports bike (ideally 1000cc). Message me with what you have. There?ˆ™s just under 31. 00 miles on the clocks which will be going up slightly as I am using it during the nice weather. If an offer that doesn't match what I have in mind I will most likely end up keeping it which will be no bad thing. Sold as seen as to be expected. Any questions. call Ash on 07712175801. If I don?ˆ™t answer please leave a message or send a text and I?ˆ™ll get back to you as soon as I can.
