Kawasaki Z650 project bike:
I have owned this bike since 1996 and it is time for it to move on to a life back on the road again where it belongs.
The bodywork on this has been wrapped in a "chameleon" (blue to purple) carbon fibre vinyl wrap.
Please note: This was a 'home experiment' and therefore not a professional finish. (This can be pealed off if required - panels could then be primed & painted). I just wanted to give a vision of how this could look rather than showing bare panels. ( I have photos of the bare panels - the wrap is not hiding any cracks or serious damage - Happy to forward these on request)
The engine had a re-bore and new pistons at approx. 32. 00 miles and used regularly up to the end of summer 1998 when it had covered 36277 miles.
The engine includes a Boyer Brandsden electronic ignition system. Taylor silicone HT leads. nbsp;Dynojet kit. power filters and a Harris Performance exhaust system.
The engine has been recently run but would benefit from a full service/carb balance etc.
The bike currently has no battery - (I used one from another bike to get it going again).
The frame has been shot blasted an powder coated.
The wheels have been shot blasted & stove enamelled.
Other bits included with this are: a custom made carbon fibre front mudguard (original steel one included too); Raask rearsets; aluminium pillion pegs & frame (tabs need welding to frame to fit these); aluminium swing arm from a Z750 turbo (slots into frame) - for monoshock conversion; brand new sprockets.
Please note: This is an on-going project bike - not a show winner - the photos make it look much better - I am just trying to be a honest seller and don't want the winner to be disappointed.
