Kawasaki ZZR600D 1990 G Reg - FULL MOT - NOT spares or repair

Here we have my ex-wife's 1990 Kawasaki ZZR600 that she's owned for a good 8 or 9 years now. It passed it's MOT on 27th September giving it a full 12 months from that date. The bike is SORN. so will need taxing. But then road tax is no longer transferrable to new owners. so it doesn't really matter. !

In roughly 2007 the bike was lovingly stripped and rebuilt (by me). everything was either powdercoated or painted (bodywork and wheels green. everything else black as you can see). An EMC rear shock was put in. along with a nice loud carbon exhaust. rebuilt calipers. dyna coils. braided hoses. heated grips and so on and so on. It has been regularly serviced. and the mechanical condition belies it's mileage.

Unfortunately a few years ago. the bike was dropped at low speed (15-20mph) on the left hand side. hence the scuffed/cracked bodywork that's partially held in place with cable ties. It's also lived outside (mostly under a cover) which has made the whole thing look somewhat tired now - ideally it would need some work to the fairings (or replace them) and the seat recovering to make it look nice and tidy again. The double bubble tinted screen still looks good though!

The only other negative point I can think of is that the rev counter has stopped working.

Aside from the above little niggles. it really is a decent little bike - it has a very low seat height too. so ideal for the rider who is a little shorter in the leg (ex-wife is only 5'3"). That said. I'm 6'2" and I find it comfortable too. It's only for sale as she's upgraded to a Suzuki SV1000.

As is. it's ideal as a work hack. or something to use on the rainy days to keep your pride and joy clean and dry!

I've described the bike as realistically as I can. but I may have missed bits. Remember that it's a 24 year old bike. so won't be in showroom condition.
