Here I have for sale my ZX6R race bike 2004 model.
The V5 is present and the frame number and engine number are both intact (bike was first registered in January 2005)
I have owned this bike since December last year and it has been faultless during this time. It rides very well. starts with no problem. doesn't knock. rattle or smoke and is a very clean example of a bike from this year.
It had already been converted to a track bike when I bought it and it was pretty much spotless (I believe the previous owner had completely stripped and rebuilt the bike - this can be seen if you look closely at the photos). The engine. nuts / bolts and overall condition of the bike are in fantastic condition. with no seized. corroded or furry nuts & bolts.
I have always worked on the bike myself and I change the oil and filter approx. every 3 or 4 trackdays. (always using K&N oil filter with Castrol Power 1 oil). I have recently re-greased all wheel. head and shock bearings too.
I am a bit OCD about my bikes and always keep them clean and in good condition and this bike is no exception
Since owning the bike I have added / upgraded the following :
Gilles adjustable rearsets
Power Commander 3 (with map loaded for exhaust and filter)
Yoshimura R77 carbon manifold. with baffle and link pipe (sounds absolutely fantastic)
K&N Air filter
K&N oil filter
Armstrong wavy front discs
New front brake caliper piston seals (completely stripped and replaced approx. 200 miles ago)
New Castrol brake fluid (front and rear)
HRC rear braking tube reservoir (removes the need for the original rear brake reservoir)
EBC HH front brake pads
Converted the bike to keyless ignition (starts with the start button)
Keyless fuel cap
CRG adjustable short clutch and brake levers
Renthal medium compound grips
New Renthal 45T rear sprocket (less than 100 miles)
ZX6R C1H rear shock with original B1H linkage (more adjustability and feel than with the original B1H shock. but keeps the rear linkage grease nipples)
Rear wheel captive spacers (makes changing the rear wheel so much easier)
R&G Eazi-grip (tank grips - not as harsh on your leathers as stomp grips)
R&G shark fin
Koyo tapered head bearings
Double bubble clear screen
Frame - powder coated black
The bike also has the following fitted :
Crash bungs
Rear paddock bobbins
Metzeler racetec K1 (front) and K2 (rear) tyres - only done 1 trackday (less than 100 miles)
Arrow adjustable steering damper (offering easy adjustability - up to 10 positions)
2005 C1H rear shock - offering more adjustability than the older B1H shock
The following spares / original parts will also come with the bike (see photos) :
Rearsets (originals)
Clip ons (left and right)
Brake and clutch levers (originals)
Rear brake reservoir
Ignition barrel and fuel cap (originals with the original ignition key)
2 x renthal rear sprockets 41 and 43 tooth (both in great condition)
Spare Wets on Wheels - both with discs (lightly scrubbed Metzeler racetec rain front (not fitted) and Bridgestone rain rear).
The bad bits :
The rev counter / speedo has cracks in the glass across the instrument - this does not stop you seeing the information displayed at all (see photo).
I cannot confirm the mileage of the bike - although the instruments show a mileage of 2732 miles (see photo)
I recently had a small off at Rockingham (ran off the track. onto the grass and into the gravel) - There is evidence of gravel rash on the LHS swingarm and Engine cases (as seen in photos). The fairings were lightly damaged. but as you can see in the photos. I have repaired them to a good standard. I have applied new stickers and sprayed all the fairings in Kawasaki green (with white number boards). followed by several coats of clear 2K lacquer. They are not perfect. but I believe that they are more than adequate for a track bike.
The reason that I am selling this bike is that I am going to do a full season of racing in 2015 and am looking for an newer 600cc superstock bike.
Please bear in mind that this is a track bike and so it has age related marks. scrapes and paint chips as you would expect. however these are minimum and do not affect the use of the bike in any way
The winning bidder will be required to pay a minimum of a ??200 non refundable deposit within 24hrs of the auction ending and will need to collect the bike within 7 days (unless otherwise agreed).
The rear paddock stand shown in the pictures is not included in the sale
Please note that this bike is also being advertised elsewhere. so I reserve the right to end the auction early
If you have any questions. please email me and I will get back to you ASAP.
Good luck and happy bidding
