2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 CustomLess than 9. 00 miles on this beautiful bikeThe first child just arrived and it's time for Dad to clear out the garage. I purchased this bike brand new from a dealer in upstate New York in the summer of 2008. Back then I worked as a teacher and this bike was summer fun for me and my wife. We were living in Brooklyn at the time and this afforded us the ability to get out of the city and have some fun. We went to Jones Beach. Niagara Falls. visited relatives in Buffalo. and saw our parents in Michigan. The bike was stored during the winter and gone over every spring.  With only 8. 96 miles on the clock this bike is barely broken in. I have made some modifications to it that I believe improve the value. The stock seat was much too narrow and hard for long distance. two-person riding so I immediately swapped it for the Mustang Vintage two piece. That seat has been on it since purchase and it looks brand new to this day. no cuts. no wear. and no fading. I also added a tail light modulator for safety. The Supabrake II is completely customizable. Check out their website for more info. I also de-baffled the exhaust. I figured if they can't see me at least they should hear me! Check out my video on YouTube for how it sounds (see the link below). I also swapped the 'bobbed' rear fender for the longer 'classic' fender. This was in hopes of one day adding Corbin Beetle Bags. They integrate seamlessly with the 'Classic' rear fender. Unfortunately. I never got around to adding them. but I think the bike looks much better with the 'Classic' fender.  When I did the work I used all stock parts and joined the two harness using butt splice connectors and protecting them with marine grade adhesive lined heat shrink tubing.  Now. I'm out in California and I brought the bike with me.  But. we just had our first child and we won't be riding it anytime soon. so it's got to go.  I recently added new mirrors and new air filter (Kawasaki).  The bike is in good condition. but it does have light rusting in some areas. see the pictures for more info.  The bike definitely got ridden so don't expect a show quality trailer queen. but it was never abused and always cared for.  Everything on the bike works perfectly.
