Hi there and welcome to my auction for my 1980 Kawasaki Z400j1. These bikes are now becoming very rare and desirable in good condition.  I am selling this bike as a 99% complete project as I need the money for my camper conversion. I have owned the bike since June. and since purchasing it. have spent quite a bit of time and money on it with the intention of putting it on the road and using it next summer.

Since owning the bike I have bought and fitted quite a few new and re-con parts including:

When I bought the bike. the previous owner had the frame powder coated and also the tank and fairings re sprayed and also had done a lot of work on the engine as it has all new stainless bolts and gaskets fitted and the engine coated in VHT satin black paint. also has 2 matching HI-MAX tyres on with good tread.

As I have stated the bike is 99% complete. All that is left to do is tune the engine/carbs as its running a bit rough but does start and run better when warmed up. Also having replaced or repaired the entire front brake system the brakes are still a bit soft under the handle but they do work. however I don't think it would pass an MOT.
