Kawasaki Z400b Twin cafe racer brat bobber 1980 MOT'd

Z400 B model Twin 1980 cafe racer bobber brat tracker ready to ride MOT'dI have owned this bike for almost 5 years. it was a complete bike with tax and mot when I bought it. It has been converted it to a cafe racer / brat styleThe bike has had lots of work carried out on it and many replacement parts. details include. New cables. clutch. throttle. Black Ace clubman barsNew classic rubber gripsBar end mirrorReplacement brake res. (from a GPZ500 better suited to ace bars)The original front brake is a single piston single calliper disc brake.   New carb rubber inlets. nbsp;Carbs cleaned and balancedElectric Starter motor reconditioned New front wheel bearingsNew Dunlop TT tyres and new tubesNew rubber Cush DriveNew DID chainNew EBC clutch plates fittedNew Motad exhaust Replaced fork oil. fork springs checked and within service length. Chrome on front forks is very good.  The rear frame rails by a few inches and a rear loop welded on to support an alloy mudguardA custom seat base was made and covered using the original vinyl cover. this is waterproof other than leather which will give you a wet arse. A short alloy front mudguard is fitted to the original brace. however I still have the original if you prefer.  Replacement indicators and rear tail light have been fittedAlso The wiring has been tidied and replaced most connectors with correct jap bullet connectors and protectors.  Mileage is just under 30k miles. which I believe is genuine however I have no history.  Rev counter has just just stopped working a few weeks ago. possibly the cable but I've not had time to check. The bike runs well. starts easy and has no funny noises or smoke. Tank has been recently painted metallic silver with satin black side panels and mudguards. Wheels. the chrome rims are in very good condition. the spokes could do with a little work to bring them up perfect. polish and lacquer or paint. or leave as is.  I have deliberately left the bike with a little patina and allowed it to age to give it a natural used look. however overall the bike and frame is solid. You could easily spend a little extra time spend on re coating frame paint etc to give it the look you want. Depends on how perfect you want it. I love the look of the bike as it is. I regularly use the bike for runs and events and I am only selling as I have a new project. This is a great little bike that I use regularly. nbsp; however the bike has been modified from the original spec.   It passes it's MOT first time and I have informed the insurance of the changes made without any problems.  but please remember the bike is 1980. If you are inexperienced in basic motorcycle maintenance. I would always recommend you have a bike serviced and looked over by someone with some knowledge or a mechanic. inspections are welcome.   In addition the engine seems good and strong however no guarantee is given as the bike is over 30 years old.  The bike is SOLD AS SEEN and no refunds or returns are offered.
