This nice big old 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000-B4 LTD has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 10451 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the R/h mirror & the base off the tachometer. The bike has obviously stood a while so the tyres & seat cover are perished. Sadly the fuel tank is heavily dented & tail piece is broken. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as solid as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean discs. calipers & working master cylinders. Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid & very tidy. Tail light assy is good. Instruments & switches look ok. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is non standard but solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout & hides the original owners manual. Chain guard is tidy. Shox are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically quite clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compression ?ˆ“ When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs but the carbs do need cleaning. REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American Title will do this.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ??55 for the 1st registration & the current fee for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
