1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 LTD.

 

Survivor.   Unrestored. Mint. 2900 miles.

Here is a spectacular 1977 Kawasaki KZ-1000 LTD with very. very low original mileage. It is in like factory new condition. The pictures really tell the story.

Clear title.

If you have been looking for one of these. this one is really remarkably clean and pristine for its age. Bike was professionally stored for over 35 years. Unmolested.

Still has the original air cleaner intake/silencer. Original exhaust has no dents. No rust. No holes. No bluing.

All original except for:

Steering head bearings (new tapered versions installed)

Oil. oil filter

Spark plugs

Tires. tubes

Brake fluid.

NOS Master cylinders.

New OEM intake manifold and carb intake boots

I replaced both master cylinders with factory OEM NOS versions so that I could put in DOT5 synthetic brake fluid.

I replaced the intake manifolds and the carb intake boots with factory OEM versions (anyone who knows these bikes knows you have to replace these once they get old/hard. )

Starts instantly. idles and runs out perfect like fresh from the assembly line. This bike is all original with original paint on frame. tank and side covers.

Compression check shows even all across @ 149-150. (Factory manual says 128-156 range)

Valve clearance/shims perfect clearance per factory.

Tank is beautiful.   Inside ?ˆ“ no rust. No coatings of any kind. Outside - no dents. no scratches. There is a chip (shown in picture) that was done last year when the steering head bearings were being replaced. Touched up with the factory paint.

Side covers are perfect! Tail Piece is perfect.

Frame is original glossy black top to bottom. The seat is soft. 100% original.

No issues. no scratches. Chrome is perfect. The only area I can see where the chrome is looking weak in the chain guard

This 37 year old bike was built in 5/77. New white letter tires front and rear.   (I kept the original Good Year Eagels for next buyer. )

Toolkit included ?ˆ“ all there and mint with the original bag. Owners manual.

 

Both original (lions) black keys with the super hard to find leather loop key chain that came from the factory.

 

NOTE: I installed a center stand for storing the bike. adjusting the chain. You can keep it or I can remove it.

If an inspection reveals anything that I have stated not to be accurate. I will refund your 500. 00 deposit and pay you $50. 00 maximum towards your return trip. Buyer pays for shipping. I will work with your shipper if that's the way you need to go but I will not arrange the shipping.

1) A $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close.

2) Balance of full payment is to be made by certified check. bank to bank wire transfer or cash in person in U. S. funds within 7 days of the auction's close. Detailed payment instructions will be given upon the end of the auction.   A bill of sale will be provided to the winning bidder indicating that ownership will be signed-off and motorcycle shipped (if applicable) once my bank confirms funds cleared in my account.   This protects both you and me. Please remember that the motorcycle does not get shipped until I am in possession of the cash. or my bank has confirmed funds have cleared and in my account.
