1979 Kawasaki KZ650 Luminous Dark Blue

Up for auction is a very nice 1979 Kawasaki KZ650 Luminous Dark Blue vintage motorcycle! We bought the motorcycle from the original owner who treated it like it was their first born child. The bike has less than 4500 original miles. The bike runs like new and has amazing power and torque! This bike has a clear Iowa title.  I will try my best to describe the bike in detail over the next few paragraphs but please feel free to ask any questions that I may not of covered. Front End:The handle bars are nice and straight and the switches are all in tact. The gauges are nice and clear. The switches all operate as expected. The clutch. throttle and brake all work smoothly. The front headlight and the bucket are in great shape along with the fork ears. The forks are not pitted and do not leak but the fork boots are cracked and should be replaced. The front dual drilled disc brakes are in great shape. The front cast rim is nice and straight. The front tire has good tread but a few weather cracks and should be replaced shortly. The front fender is nice and straight with slight pitting in the chrome but has no dents or dings. Engine:The engine starts and runs perfectly. The carburetors have been disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned. New spark plugs installed. Air filter cleaned.  The motor is clean and appears stock. The STOCK exhaust is intact with no rust. It does have some wrinkles in the chrome (see pictures). Body:The gas tank has no dents and is in outstanding condition. The inside of the tank is nice and clean. The seat foam is in great shape and the seat cover has no tears or rips. The side panels are complete and neither cover has any cracks and the tabs are intact. The rear fender and tail light are in excellent condition with no dents. scrapes or breakage but the chrome on rear fender has slight pitting. All rubber for the front and rear foot pegs are in great shape. The rear tail piece is in great shape but has three small imperfections (see pictures) in the paint.  Rear End:The rear cast rim is nice and straight. The rear tire is in great shape and should provide lots of miles before replacing. The rear drilled disc brake is in great shape.  The chain guard is in overall great condition. The rear shocks are in great shape and have very minor surface rust.  Electrical:All four turns signals. head light and tail light are present and operational. The indicator lights are all intact. The wire harness is intact and has a few splices but not bad for its age. The original owner hooked up a speaker and radio and spliced into the harness.  Overall. the bike is complete and ready to be ridden or put away for an investment!
