1983 Kawasaki GPz 550

1983 Kawasaki GPz 550 with 8. 88 original miles.  Paint and body in excellent condition.  No broken tabs on the side covers like so many had.  This is a stock unmolested example of the famed "pocket rocket".  I purchased the GPz from the second owner.  I ended up taking it to Walter Meyer at Seattle Cycle service.  Walter is an ace mechanic on the old school Kawasaki's.  Fork seals replaced.  Tuned it up. We put new Bridgestone Battlax tires. new battery. fluids all changed.  I replaced the fuel gas cap and rear seat key cover with New Kawasaki OEM items.  Tank inside is exceptionally clean.  Seat is excellent.  The stock pipes are also in great condition.  All the meters and gauges work as they should.  It has a very cool liquid crystal display for the fuel gauge.  Battery indicator light. Also a volt meter to indicate how the charging system is working. which is working excellent.  Runs and rides very nice.   These were the sought after bikes that many went to a race track with.   The famed California Superbike school had many in their stable for training up and coming riders.  Again a nice example for your single collectable bike or for your collection.  I am letting this one go because I have another one for my collection.  There is some cosmetic surface areas on the engine that I think need attending to. my collector friends all say it's minor but I would continue to replace and add OEM items to make it pristine.  It is an iconic mini superbike from an area that is hard to capture.  But you could capture your youth for a time like I did and have a blast with this authentic GPz 550.  I am looking for a seamless sale so my reserve is set at an honest $3000.  Or buy it now $3500.  Anyone would be hard pressed to find another low mileage GPz 550 like this one.  They are becoming more and more rare in this condition.
