Description

Up for sale is a first year 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900 matching number survivor bike. This bike was a barn find in unmolested condition. The bike comes with a clear signed title ready for transfer. The bike is all original except the seat cover is a replacement and there was an oil cooler added sometime in its history. This bike is not running but the engine turns over. Fuel tank is fairly clean inside but does have some dings. dents. Original paint is faded but there is no damage/cracks on any of the plastic parts (side covers or tail cowl). The sliding document tray is still in the tail cowl. The gauges show 15. 53 miles on the odometer. the tach has a ding on the rim. The wheels are original Takasago rims and both date coded 3B 303 correct for the 1973 model year. The swingarm is date coded #302. All of the date codes are shown in the photos. The pipes are the original unstamped early pipes correct for the 1973 model year Z1's but they do have some acid staining and small rust holes at the ends as shown in the photos. This is a nice. correct 1973 Z1 that has not been messed with. super hard to find these days. It is not perfect but would make a fantastic daily driver or great platform for a total restoration as it is correct and complete. The chrome is in decent condition all around. some surface rust and pitting but nothing so bad it cannot be used/refurbished in my opinion. Please ask questions if you have concerns. I am glad to help in any way possible. Also. I welcome all serious buyers who would like to inspect the bike in person to contact me before the auction ends to arrange a viewing. I am not a shipper so I will not ship the bike. All shipping arrangements and associated costs of shipping are buyers responsibility. I would like the bike to be collected within 2-3 weeks of sale end. this should be ample time to line up a shipping agent. I require a $250 deposit through paypal at auction end to hold bike and the balance to be paid via Bank Wire Transfer within 3 days of sale end or the bike will be relisted and sold again. The title for the bike will be shipped with your shipping agent when the bike is collected. If you want the title shipped separately you will be responsible for the FedEx shipping charges. usually about $38 with tracking for domestic and more for international. Survivor bikes are getting impossible to find. don't miss out. Please do not ask my reserve. the reserve is set reasonable so any potential buyer would be able to purchase the bike. restore it and still make some money on the back end. Buy this bike before I come to my senses and restore it myself. Thank you and good luck.
