Description

1983 Kawasaki KZ1000R2. KZ1000 ELR. Eddie Lawson Replica

The real deal. this bike is NOT a clone or copy. VIN JKAKZCR17DA001958. This is not a ?ˆ?regular?ˆ? KZ1000 that has been painted to look like an ELR. This is a true. limited production. special edition bike. Only 1200 sold/produced.

Very good condition with only 8. 50 miles on it. Nice. but it is not a museum piece. It has a few nicks and chips here and there. but is too good to restore. It runs great. rides great (very ?ˆ?80?ˆ™s !). and everything works on the bike.   There is no evidence the bike has ever been involved in any sort of accident. ?ˆ?fell over in the garage?ˆ?. or any of that nonsense.  It is ready to ride anywhere you want. right now. This bike is a real conversation- starter and attention getter. The only reason I am selling is to fund anther project.

I have checked the carburetor float levels. put a re-built kit in the petcock. replaced the VERY spongy front brake lines with steel braided ones (I would rather be able to stop than be concerned about the hoses being non-stock). bled all the brakes. replaced the spark plugs. and put a Barnett clutch in it. The bike had the period-correct ATK fork brace on it when I purchased it.

The bike is missing the seat lock assembly for some reason. The latch is there. but the lock is missing (I have not been able to find one at a reasonable cost). The seat cover has a very small tear in it. but I have a new OEM Kawasaki cover that goes with the bike. The gas tank has a small dent. and very slight scratch on the top of the tank (I touched-up the paint). and a very slight dent just under the Kawasaki emblem on the right side of the tank. I have touched-up a few other chips in the paint on the front fender.

The bike is currently registered in my name. in Georgia. However I have a clear. open title from Oklahoma. The person I bought it from (in Georgia) did not transfer the title. he just registered the bike in GA. Georgia allows this on vehicles this old. My registration is legitimate and the bike can registered in any State. If you are not in Georgia. you could just transfer the Oklahoma title if you wanted. or use my current registration. Regardless. the buyer has options.

Payment:

$500 deposit required within 48 hours. Full payment required within 10 calendar days. I will NOT accept  Paypal payment for more than the $500. CASH is preferred. but I will accept a bank transfer or certified check (10 days required for a bank check to clear). I WILL sell this bike to an overseas buyer.

The motorcycle must be picked up within 20 days of auction end.
