1984 Kawasaki GPZ900R Ninja Time Warp Survivor 1984 Kawasaki GPZ900R Ninja 1090 Original miles This 1984 Kawasaki Ninja is a true time warp survivor. Bought new in Southern California by the owner of a motorcycle equipment company it was ridden just over 1000 miles and then was parked in the company warehouse. Out of the sun and out of harm it was in hibernation for nearly it's entire life. Still on the original tires. everything totally stock and un-altered. The only non-original item is the Corbin color matched seat that was installed when the bike was new. 1090 original miles. still with the break-in sticker on the tachometer. Original California pink slip. mint condition owners manual and sales brochure. Very clean bike. truly near-mint condition. All original paint finish. Corbin seat is in excellent shape. There are just a couple scratches on the lower fairing. Certainly never down at speed. The bike was recently pulled out of hibernation and has been fully detailed. The fuel tank has been cleaned and lined. the fuel lines have been replaced. a new battery installed and the bike has been run. but not ridden. Brakes will still need checking and I would suspect that 30 year old tires might not be too safe to ride on. but as I did the cleaning and detailing I stopped myself short of putting any further miles on the bike. It very well be one of the very lowest mileage examples in the world and it is probably more valuable as a collectors item than as a rider. With the 30th anniversary of the Ninja being this year and the release of the latest Ninja model (available in this same color combination!) The attention to the model has grown greatly. The Ninja 900 is an icon. and a bike that truly helped change the sport bike game forever. As time marches on. this model. and especially a first year. nbsp; low mileage example like this will be highly prized by collectors world wide. Original tires!!! Ninja Portfolio book included that has copies of all the original bike reviews and tests when it first came out. This bike was a legend from birth. The shockwaves still ripple today with the Ninja name still in use 30 years later! The tank has had just a couple small brush touch up spots on this side in the grey area. Very minimal and the match is good. There is a little paint wear on the carburetor on this side and a couple similar areas on the other side. Further detailing and touch up could be done to make it "flawless" but as it is. it still sparkles like a brand new machine. The registration was kept up for many years initially and it was started now and then during that period. From 1994 until 2014 it was just plain hidden away. Finding this bike in the warehouse was an exciting thing for me. I was there to look at another bike when I saw it. and it just grabbed me by the heart and wallet and I absolutely had to have it. It needed rescuing. and I live for that sort of thing. I have enjoyed my time with it and now I want to see it go someplace where it will be enjoyed by more than just me. I could totally see this bike in a museum or in a private collection. It could be shown and would draw a crowd for sure. Every single person that has seen it so far has been impressed! When I walk in my personal showroom / man cave I give it a double take and a "wow" every time. There is some very minor pitting on the clutch perch and perhaps the slightest tiny specs on the fuel filler There is a very small scratch just to the left of the K on the Kawasaki It is gorgeous though. the clean up of this bike was so much fun. It was pretty clean when found. but after a few days with the detailing supplies it just shines like a diamond! I will say this clearly. this is not a bike to buy and ride home. The brakes have not been touched. all systems should be checked and serviced. I have started it. it runs. but I stopped myself there and then focused on the preservation and cleaning. I know myself too well. if I get it up and fully operational. I would just have to ride it. and I would probably get all "Top Gun" with it and pile on hard miles. I have other bikes for that. so I left the "virgin" alone. she is still "pure". All the proper numbers and stickers are present and everything matches. It is a fairly early production bike by looking at the numbers. perhaps number 676 off the line? The bike shows very well indeed. Further detailing and a couple tiny touch ups and it could be even better. That being said. I don't think I have ever seen a nicer one. This era of sport bike is ready for it's climb in the collectors world. And climb they are going to. have you watched the values of the 70's era Japanese "big bikes"? The generation of guys that had the poster of this bike on their bedroom wall are all edging towards 50 these days! (I know. Im one of them! . Class of 84. and this was THE "Dream Machine" back then!) You will look hard and long to find a cleaner example anywhere in the world. and with just over 1000 original miles since new. This bike will be hard to beat! I have set what I feel is a very reasonable reserve on the bike. I do not have a "buy it now" price and will not sell it outside of the auction unless for some strange reason it fails to meet the reserve at the end. which it certainly should. The bike is available for viewing. but my schedule during the Holidays is a bit frantic (just like everybody). If you would like to talk to me directly about the bike. please send a message through eBay with your phone number and I will be happy to give you a call. Thank you for looking. please share this listing with friends and spread it around. If you are bidding. bid big and bid often!! Thanks. and Cheers! Randy
